In today's session I ask that you please go ahead and take in some deep comfortable breaths,
Breathing into your belly,
Noticing the rise and the fall of the abdomen.
I want you to breathe in through the nostrils and out through the mouth.
Imagine exhaling to the sound of a steaming kettle.
Few more in and out like this.
You're welcome to go ahead and downshift your gaze or close your eyes if that feels more comfortable.
Bring your attention right now completely to breath.
But without thinking let the next exhale come out through your mouth with a note.
Let it be any note that comes out.
Finding a note that feels good and only allowing what feels good.
Repeat this a few more times.
I want you to put your hand on your chest and feel the resonance of your voice as you're exhaling.
Now change that to an um.
And let this um build in the cavity of your chest.
See if you can bring it up a little bit.
Play with it.
Feel like let it fly.
And feel the resonance of this um in your lips,
Your teeth,
Your tongue and your eyeballs.
And now the next let it change to an a.
A And as you're letting it out wake up the third eye.
A Now can we change that to an ee.
Feel this ee in the crown of your forehead,
The sahasara chakra.
Letting it merge into the cosmos opening up from the top of your head.
Ee.
Now change it to a low wah.
Let this tone go down,
Travel down through the central channel of your body down to your pelvic floor.
Do it a few more times.
Let it warm your body as you're doing so.
I want you to find a low note that feels good to you and you stay with that.
And I want you to feel the resonance of this wah in your whole body instrument.
Notice how it reverberates and waking up every cell in your body.
Welcome home.
Notice how you feel as you arrive in your whole body,
Your whole body instrument.
Notice the ease of your breath.
Notice the slower pace of thoughts in your mind.
Notice the lightness you may be experiencing in your entire body.
I want you to become very comfortable,
Comfortable and alert.
Let your head,
Your neck and your chest be in a straight line.
You could be lying down,
Flat or sitting up.
This meditation will begin with the process of letting go.
And by definition is letting go.
Letting go of any attachment,
Attachment including to our thoughts.
Because if you're locked into your thoughts,
You are one step away from fear.
Let us tune into Source,
That one that is referred to by so many names in so many ways,
In so many cultures.
The Native Americans call it the Great Spirit.
It's referred to as Noor in Arabic which means the light of God.
The Sikhs refer to the Ek Omkar,
The formless Supreme Being.
There's so many ways of visualizing the formless in form.
It is a being of pure light.
A being of absolute calm,
Compassion and peace.
Imagine that being in front of you.
Imagine that being at about eye level at a distance.
Now imagine a beam of blue light stretching from that being to your heart.
And experience that being very very gently floating towards you.
Floating closer and closer.
So much love.
So much compassion.
Let that being come inside until it resides in your heart,
In your very heart.
Not your physical heart but your spiritual heart.
Right about at the center of your chest.
Until that being inside.
Now let that Supreme Being increase in size until its body conforms with your body.
So where your legs are,
The being's legs are.
Your shoulder,
The being's shoulder.
Your head,
The being's head.
Now feel what it feels like to be totally embodied with a being of total compassion.
Completing to see the entire universe fully with all of its polarity,
With its attachments,
Non-attachments.
Allowing it to be.
Not demanding it to be anything other than the way it is.
Not seeing it all in its utter perfection.
Now feel what it feels like to be embodied with a being of pure light.
Visualize yourself as pure light.
Feel that light emanating from within.
Pouring out from all of your pores.
Pouring out through your eyes.
Pouring out through all of your orifices.
Of the ends of your toes and your fingertips,
This light emanates,
Pours out of you.
Now feel what it feels like to be embodied with a being of pure love.
Be love.
Pure love.
Feel that love emanating from every part of your being.
Now feel what it feels like to be embodied with a being of total consciousness.
Pure consciousness.
Let every part of your being be conscious.
Now with your eyes closed,
Start to experience this body of light,
Of compassion,
Of love,
And of consciousness growing in size.
Is it encompassing the universe?
One has to Obama.
One has to cup.
Now see if you can look within to see if you can see the entity who you thought you were before we started this meditation.
Find that entity who you thought you were.
Examine it with some curiosity as you would any other phenomenon in nature.
Examine it's a dance in life.
Look at the problems it thinks it has and the plans it has.
Look at its desires.
Desires that come from a place because it doesn't realize it is powerful.
Because it doesn't know it's already complete.
Look at its fears.
Look at all of this with absolute compassion that you are now.
The compassion to see it all.
Allow it to be.
Now look into that being who you thought you were.
Look inside that being way way inside of it.
And see who you now know yourself to be.
Now ever so gently start to re-experience your body.
Your physical body.
This costume that you wear.
You are now re-entering this incarnation starting from your toes.
Let your consciousness move up your body.
Till it reaches the ground of your head.
Now ever so gently come back into the personality you have incarnated into in this birth.
At the same time you are re-entering your separatedness.
Keep in mind,
Keep in pure mind.
Keep in the identity with the Supreme Being.
Back in your senses,
Thoughts,
All part of the incarnation.
And now as you proceed on with the pages of the book of your life,
Remember that in your heart sits your God.
Wherever you think you go,
Whoever you think you are,
Whatever you think you think she is.
God is.
Now and always.
Om Shanti.
Om Shanti.
Welcome into a new body.
Into a new mind.
To a new beginning.
In this new year.
And if you could summarize how you are feeling right now in one word.
How you are feeling right now compared to when you walked in here,
When you started this session about 40 minutes ago.
How would you describe it?
