Hello,
My name is Jason Stevenson and welcome to this guided meditation designed to help you explore exactly what you are here for.
During this meditation,
You will be invited on a journey to uncover your life's purpose,
Coming to deeply understand what you have to offer to the world around you.
From there,
You will be guided into a restorative and peaceful sleep,
Allowing your entire being to rest sweetly for the night.
For now,
Take a moment to simply open your heart to whatever may come to be revealed within you.
Before we dive into this expansive and illuminating journey,
Take a few moments to really settle into the space that holds you.
Adjust yourself in any way necessary to promote complete comfort and relaxation,
Allowing your body to sink deeper into the surface that supports you.
Take a moment to scan the body,
Acknowledging any areas of constriction,
And invite them to softly melt into the surface beneath you.
Pay special attention to your belly,
To your chest,
To your jaw,
And to your eyebrows and forehead.
Begin to let go of all tension in the body as you come to a place of complete stillness.
Once you feel settled within the physical space you rest in,
Begin to notice vibrations in the air that are appearing as sound.
There may be prominent noises infiltrating into your eardrums from the world outside,
Or there may only be subtle vibrations,
Perhaps the sound of your breathing,
Or the hum of a nearby appliance.
Whatever sounds are present,
Simply tune into their existence without judgment,
Releasing any urge to label them.
Allow these sounds to draw you into this very moment,
And into every moment that comes and goes.
Notice the air around your body,
Observing it if it can be sensed in this moment,
And if so,
Non-judgmentally making a note of how it feels.
Begin to observe its presence as you breathe,
Witnessing the sensation of air as it enters through your nose,
Moves through your windpipe,
And makes its way into your lungs.
On your exhalation,
Follow its path once again,
Noting if there are any observable sensations as it comes to leave the body.
Simply continue to observe the breath mindfully,
Making no judgment about its current rhythm or depth,
Just simply allow it to take the form that it does,
Softening the chest area as an expression of complete acceptance for this present moment.
Draw your awareness now to the physical body,
Feeling into each area of it that is in contact with the material world.
Allow yourself to feel completely supported by this world around you,
Sinking further and further into the comfort and stability it provides.
Now,
Begin to envision that there are invisible roots gently expanding outwards from your physical body and into the bed or other support beneath you.
Imagine that these roots run deeper and deeper,
Eventually penetrating the earth's natural surface.
They ground you safely within this present moment.
Breathe through these roots,
Beginning to establish a sense of security and trust in the physical world.
As you strengthen your roots on this planet,
You come to find that you are deeply supported in whatever path your body,
Heart and soul take throughout this lifetime.
Feeling heavy in the body,
Allow yourself to surrender just a bit more into this present moment.
While this journey will activate the higher mind,
There is no active or conscious effort required on your part of your analytical,
Rational or egoic mind.
Just allow these parts of yourself to step aside for the time being.
Whatever images,
Ideas or visions arise during this meditation will occur naturally and intuitively as we deepen our trust for the journey we are presently on.
Take a few deep breaths now,
Releasing any residual tension or stress that may be held within the body.
On your next few exhalations,
Feel free to release through a deep sigh,
Inviting the body to settle even more.
In order to hear the whisperings of your truest purpose,
Allow yourself to come to complete silence within.
If mental chatter arises either now or at points during this meditation,
Simply observe whatever thoughts come with a sense of compassion,
Curiosity and non-judgment.
Know that in your efforts to reach this silent state within,
Thought waves will undoubtedly arise.
This is normal,
It is a part of the process.
However,
See if you can begin to practice discernment,
That is,
The ability to discriminate between thoughts drenched in fear and conditioning,
And thoughts born of your highest self.
As you quiet the mind,
You allow the core of what you really are to shine through.
Allow this core,
This deeper truth,
To infiltrate your awareness.
Come to visualize yourself in an open,
Natural setting of your choice,
Somewhere that brings you a sense of peace.
It will be unique to who you are,
Perhaps based in a desert setting,
In a deeply wooded forest,
Somewhere by the sea,
Or in a park.
Within a city,
Start to become aware of the colors that are in the area,
The flora,
The fauna,
The textures and edges.
Notice if there are any sounds buzzing in the air around you,
Or if you are breathing in the fresh air of this place,
Allowing it to nourish the deepest aspects of your body,
Heart,
Mind and soul.
Ground yourself in the sense of peace that this setting instills in you,
Granting you a feeling of being at home.
You are entirely comfortable and at ease in this setting,
Observing it as a quiet and compassionate observer,
Who is also an innate part of this setting.
Come to feel in your body that you are an important part of this environment,
That you are one with it,
Rather than separate from it.
Allow your own energy to unify with the peaceful setting around you.
It is vibrant,
And so are you.
It is effortlessly purposeful,
And so are you.
Now,
Allow yourself to walk around this space,
Embodying this sense of vitality within your movements.
You are full of life's energy,
You are inspired,
Confident in your movements,
And graceful.
Witness the way you move,
And then dive deeper into the way you feel.
Begin to tap into a deeper sense of who you really are here,
Unimpended by worry,
Distraction,
Fear and conditioning.
Open the heart a little wider to ask,
Who am I at my core?
This radiant person you are witnessing is you.
He or she has been created by you,
And is therefore an empowered,
Inspired,
And deeply connected version of yourself.
This person radiates light as they walk,
As they dance,
And as they play in this peaceful and energized environment.
Take a few moments to really embrace this sense of self-expansion.
Tune into your highest mind,
Letting all fear,
Worry,
And self-judgment be dissolved by the light that emanates from you.
Envision this highest version of yourself,
This curious,
Compassionate,
And inspired version of you,
Turning towards the open space of this dream environment,
To quietly ask,
What does my highest self deeply wish to offer this world?
In what way or ways may I be of service to this earth community?
And what,
Dear universe,
Is my truest calling?
Allow your highest self,
Or the universe,
To whisper back to you,
However subtly.
There is no need to actively pursue the answers.
They will come to you in their own way,
And in their own time.
Allow the answers to come by way of whispered words,
In the form of visions,
Or even through an even subtle energy that can barely be described.
Be patient and open as you accept messages and clues as to what your highest purpose in this lifetime might be.
There is no need to rush.
Your life purpose is not going anywhere.
Continue to open yourself to divine guidance,
As you allow this information to move closer and closer towards your own consciousness.
If you find your mind racing in pursuit of some answer,
Continually call yourself back to your sense of inner stillness,
Or back into the vision of this radiant,
Inspired,
And free version of yourself.
Continue to breathe deeply,
Allowing each inhalation to fill you with inspiration,
And each exhalation to release any doubt,
Fear,
Or negative thinking.
Draw your attention to the heart space,
Allowing each breath to open the heart just a little bit further.
Allow the breath to ground you in this very moment,
Drawing you deeper and deeper into this expansive and enlightening journey of self-awareness.
Repeat the following questions again,
Silently calling up to the universe.
What does my highest self deeply wish to offer this world?
In what way,
Or ways,
May I be of service to this earth community?
What,
Dear universe,
Is my truest calling?
Allow all areas around the face to relax,
Softly releasing any tightness in the forehead or in the areas around the eyes.
Release the belly once again,
And soften the chest.
Open your heart to trusting this process,
Knowing that this journey is not a race.
Whether answers have already come or have yet to be revealed is ultimately irrelevant.
Your purpose and path will be revealed to you once the moment is ripe for its unfolding.
Take another few moments to witness yourself in the peaceful setting you have created in your mind's eye,
Allowing the image of your highest self to dance,
To move,
Play,
Or work freely in this beautiful natural setting.
Feel into all of the positive characteristics of this version of you,
Noticing how radiant,
Confident,
Empowered,
Enlivened,
And inspired you are.
In this very moment,
There is absolutely nothing that holds you back.
You are free,
Unrestricted,
And deeply connected to your truest self.
Gently allow these visions to slip away,
Knowing that they can be called upon whenever you wish to explore your highest self and your life purpose.
Come back to the natural rhythm of your breath as your mind's eye softens.
Allow your breath to rock you into a state of supreme stillness and ease.
In this very moment,
There is nothing left for you to do.
The process of unraveling your life purpose has already been engaged.
You are already on your way.
Allow all ideas and notions about your true calling to slip away as you embrace the deep release that comes with sleep.
As you fall into a sleeping state,
Your body,
Heart,
Mind,
And soul will all be replenished.
When you arise,
You will be one step closer to the manifestation of your most inspired dreams.
Let everything go.
Allow yourself to sink back down into the physical space,
Into the surface that supports you,
And into your breath.
Know that you are unconditionally supported on your journey,
And that for now,
This is the only place you need to be.
