Hello and welcome to our meditation.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
Meditation is a way to help our body and our mind feel calm and relaxed.
And there are so many different ways that we can meditate.
In our meditation today,
We will be doing a visualization meditation.
And that simply means that we will be closing our eyes and using our imagination.
For this one,
We will be imagining that we have all the colors of the rainbow flowing through our bodies.
I recommend listening to this meditation as often as you need to.
You can choose to listen to it first thing in the morning to start your day in a good mood.
Or you can listen to it right before bed to help you relax.
But it is especially helpful to do this meditation whenever you want to feel calm.
When you are ready,
Let's begin our meditation.
Start by finding a comfortable position.
You can sit or lie down,
Get nice and cozy.
And if you need to go and get anything to help you feel comfortable,
You can do that now.
If you need a pillow or a blanket,
If you need socks or a sweater,
Or if you'd like to bring your favorite stuffed animals to help you feel comfortable.
If you would like,
You can pause the meditation to give yourself time to get the things that you need to feel comfortable.
Okay,
Now that you have everything that you need to help yourself feel comfortable,
You can lie down or sit in your comfy spot and we will begin our meditation.
Remember that meditation doesn't have to be about sitting completely still.
Meditation is about finding that calm place inside you.
So feel free to adjust or switch your position if you get uncomfortable.
If you get itchy,
Go ahead and scratch it.
If you need to wiggle around or stretch a bit to get more comfortable,
You can do that too.
I want you to feel nice and comfortable so that you can feel calm during this meditation.
And when you are comfortable,
Allow your eyes to gently close and bring your attention to your breath,
Breathing in and out gently.
Let's take a deep breath in and let it out.
Take another deep breath in and let it out.
One more deep breath in and let it out.
Continue breathing in and out throughout this meditation.
And during this meditation,
If you notice yourself thinking of other things,
That's perfectly normal.
You have a very smart mind and it is always thinking.
So whenever you notice yourself thinking of other things,
Simply say to yourself,
Thank you,
Mind or thank you,
Brain and bring your attention back to breathing in and out and say to yourself,
I am breathing.
Let's take a deep breath in and let it out.
Breathing in again and breathing out.
Breathing in one more time and letting it out.
Now with your eyes closed,
Imagine yourself sitting in a calm,
Safe place outside.
Maybe you are sitting or laying in a meadow of tall grass.
You are comfortable and slowly beginning to relax with each breath.
The sun is shining down and the sky is a bright blue.
There may be a couple white fluffy clouds floating in the sky and something catches your eye.
It's a perfect rainbow.
And this rainbow is big and long and crosses the sky above you.
You can see all of its colors clearly red,
Orange,
Yellow,
Green,
Blue and purple.
Take a moment now to picture your perfect rainbow.
Now imagine your entire body is surrounded by a red glowing light.
And this glowing red light flows through your entire body.
Picture red all around you.
And as you imagine this red glowing light flowing through your body,
Repeat the following words after me.
You can either say them out loud or quietly in your mind.
Repeat after me.
I am special.
Now you might notice that the red glowing light is starting to change color.
It is turning into a brilliant orange color.
So now you can imagine your entire body is surrounded by an orange glowing light.
And this glowing orange light flows through your entire body from your head to your toes.
Picture orange all around you.
And as you imagine this orange glowing light flowing throughout your body,
Repeat the following words after me.
I am sensitive and strong.
Now you might notice that the orange glowing light is starting to change color again.
It is turning into a bright yellow color.
So now you can imagine your entire body is surrounded by a yellow glowing light.
And this glowing yellow light flows through your entire body from your head to your toes.
Picture yellow all around you.
And as you imagine this yellow glowing light flowing through your body,
Repeat the following words after me.
I accept myself completely.
Now you notice that the yellow glowing light is starting to change color once again.
It is turning into a beautiful green color.
So now you can imagine your entire body is surrounded by a green glowing light.
And this glowing green light flows through your entire body from your head to your toes.
Imagine green all around you.
And as you imagine this green flowing light through your entire body,
Repeat the following words after me.
I love myself.
Now the green glowing light is starting to change color again.
And it is turning into a wonderful blue color.
So you can imagine now that your entire body is surrounded by a blue glowing light.
And this glowing blue light flows through your entire body from your head to your toes.
Picture blue all around you.
And as you imagine this blue glowing light flowing through your entire body,
Repeat the following words after me.
I am learning and growing.
And now the blue glowing light is starting to change color.
It is turning into an amazing purple color.
So now you can imagine your entire body is surrounded by a purple glowing light.
And this glowing purple light flows from your head to your toes throughout your entire body.
Imagine purple all around you.
And as you imagine this purple glowing light flowing through your entire body,
Repeat the following words after me.
I am smart.
And finally,
The purple glowing light is starting to change color.
It is getting lighter and lighter.
It is getting so light that it eventually turns into a white glowing light.
So now you can imagine your entire body is surrounded by a beautiful white glowing light.
And this glowing white light flows through your entire body from your head to your toes.
Imagine white all around you.
And as you imagine this white glowing light flowing through your body,
Repeat the following words after me.
I am amazing.
Let's take a deep breath in and let it out.
Take another deep breath in and let it out.
And one more deep breath in and smile as you let it out.
You can now begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
You can stretch your body and slowly open your eyes.
You did a wonderful job.
Remember that you can imagine the colors of the rainbow anytime you want to help you feel calm and relaxed.
