This meditation supports unwinding the tensions in the body and in the mind. We'll slow down, listen to the rhythm of our own breath, and create space for presence. This cultivates the ability to see our own inner light and feel that ripple outward.

Welcome to meditation,

This opportunity to sit quietly,

To go inward,

To unwind.

Some of the tensions of a day,

A week,

An emotional journey,

Whatever is unfolding.

Specifically toward that place of unwinding some of the tensions that we carry,

Certainly in our body,

But also in our thought processes.

And I find that it's supportive to be guided sometimes and also have space sometimes.

So we'll play between those two spaces.

Come seated.

Give yourself an opportunity.

We'll be here not that long,

But long enough to listen to the rhythm of our own breath.

Once you're seated,

Get the spine a little bit longer,

Spin the palms down and close your eyes.

All you have to do at this moment is simply arrive into your body.

So all the journey you took to get here,

All the activities before this moment,

Slow down.

Your future projecting,

The whole constant later conversation slows down.

Bringing the tip of the tongue to the roof of the mouth behind the teeth.

This supports us in relaxing the tongue,

Unwinding the tension of I,

Me and mine of the ego,

Connecting us more towards soul,

Toward the spirit of us.

As you find a rhythm with your breath,

Keeping the tip of the tongue softly on the roof of the mouth,

Allow the mind to rest deep and in the base of the skull.

Keep following the rhythm of the breath,

The inhale,

The exhale.

Move toward that felt sense that you don't need to do anything.

You can simply be.

Muscles in the face relax,

The jaw relaxes.

Press pause and simply stay here,

Remaining in this unwinding of the mental spin,

Simplicity of a breath in,

A breath out,

The full resting and sense of ease in your whole being.

If you need to move back into the world,

Hands to prayer at the heart,

Bowing to your own internal wisdom and light and awareness,

That that may radiate out and ripple out and that you can see that in all beings,

Their radiance and light.
