And welcome to this short grounding back into your body session.
Welcome,
I'm Jane Lyon.
I'm here to guide you.
And if you're here,
It might be because you're feeling overwhelmed,
Scattered,
Too much energy going up in the higher chakras up here,
Maybe even a little bit outside of your body,
Maybe dissociating from your body.
And we are gonna use this time to discover the power of our hands to bring us back into our body and grounding down into the earth.
So let's go ahead and dive in.
The first thing I want you to do is wrap your arms around your body as tight as you can.
And I'm gonna try to not cover up my mic here,
But I want you to wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a big hug,
Squeezing yourself,
Letting your chin fall towards your chest and letting your shoulders get heavy and even lean over a little bit,
Squeezing yourself even deeper,
Taking a little swing from side to side,
A little sway from side to side,
Sinking your chin even deeper into your chest,
Breathing,
Hugging yourself,
Holding yourself,
Just coming back,
Tuning inward.
Pressing the fingertips into the shoulders and just feeling the sensation of those hands on your body holding you now.
Squeezing as tight as you can for one more breath.
Good,
As you exhale,
Use those hands to squeeze the shoulders,
The arms.
And to the elbows,
The forearms,
Giving both wrists a little squeeze.
And now our hands are in front of our face.
So I want you to start massaging your palms,
Looking at your hands,
The lines of your hands,
Your fingers.
And then we can take the hands and just press them in.
Push them down the face,
Down the head,
Down the back of the neck,
The throat.
And making our way to the chest,
To the heart.
Maybe just leaving the hands like this or maybe taking some big circles around the heart.
Feeling the heart beating in your chest.
Feeling the lungs expand and contract.
And then we can pause and just hold the belly for a moment,
Connecting with the body.
Let it go.
You're safe in your body.
Your body is here to soothe you and you can soothe yourself through this touch.
Bringing those hands to the chest.
And then slowly to the lower back,
We can start to massage the lower back around that sacral as we start to make our way towards the root chakra.
So the root chakra starts right below the tailbone and it runs all the way down the leg.
So in order to engage my roots,
I like to press into my thighs,
Give my thighs a little squeeze,
Connecting with that mass of the thighs.
And then we can give them a little gentle tap,
Tap,
Tap with the palms and then we can bring some heat to the knees.
The knees are responsible for moving us forward in life.
They are part of our roots.
So giving the knees a little bit of love,
Maybe holding some heat with the hands on the knees or massaging them.
And for this practice,
We can let the hands be like magnets.
What feels soothing?
Where does it feel nice to place the hands?
Now our legs are responsible for our sense of rootedness.
So we can really connect with the legs to get into the roots,
Pulling that energy down the calves,
The thighs,
And starting to massage into the ankles.
And now beginning to massage into the feet,
Looking at your feet,
Looking at the bottoms of the feet,
Giving them a little squeeze,
Acknowledging them,
Thanking them for all that they do for you.
And then we can even put a palm right onto the palm of the foot and hold it there.
And let the feet ground into the palm.
So many of us have such ungrounded feet that just need a little attention,
Just a little loving touch like this.
Go ahead and switch sides when you're ready.
Massaging that other foot,
Looking at the foot,
Acknowledging the foot.
Just giving the foot some energy,
Some love,
Some heat,
Some warmth.
Then we can place that hand flat on the bottom of the foot and hold.
Starting to feel yourself coming back into your body,
Back into your physical form,
Giving both feet one final little squeeze.
And then we can reset ourselves and bring both of our feet to the ground in front of us,
Leaning as far forward as you need to,
Both of our hands to the ground in front of us,
Closing the eyes and letting the earth take from your hands anything you're ready to let go of.
Just putting it all into the earth,
Saying,
Earth,
Take this from me.
And feeling anything you don't need being pulled out of your hands like a magnet.
Good,
Releasing the hands,
Letting them rest comfortably on the lap,
Breathing in.
And as you exhale,
Starting to feel gravity pulling you down.
Becoming aware of the part of your body that is connecting to the earth and starting to see red roots growing out from your spine,
From your legs,
From the bottoms of your feet,
Growing down into the earth,
Seeing those roots go down,
Down,
Down and start to spread and grow deep into the earth,
Grounding you.
And we can even begin to feel those roots growing upward,
Around the hips,
Around the legs,
Even up the spine,
Grounding you,
Rooting you in,
Reconnecting you with the planet,
With your home,
Breathing in.
Opening your eyes nice and slowly and noticing how you feel now.
Are we feeling more grounded?
Look at how easy that was.
