This Emotional Chord Cutting guided meditation is intended to release emotional attachments to those that have hurt you. This is a powerful practice for those that have experienced heartbreak and may be holding onto pain, anger and resentment. Through forgiveness of self and others you will be able to heal your heart and let this person go, taking a step in the direction of moving forward. Breath, affirmations, visualization. Together, we will return to wholeness.

When we form attachments to others,

These emotional cords can become so deeply rooted in us,

And it will take some time to extract those roots.

Wherever you are on your healing journey is perfectly okay,

And today we will take steps to uprooting and cutting these cords.

My name is Jade Montana,

And let's begin.

Please find a comfortable position,

Seated or lying down.

I invite you to close your eyes,

Exhale everything out of the body,

And take a deep breath in,

Sending the breath deep within the belly,

And let that go.

Relaxing the expression on your face,

Softening the muscles surrounding the eyebrows,

Allowing the eyelids to become heavier.

Inhale breath through the nose,

And exhale release,

Knowing that you are safe to allow emotions to arise throughout this practice.

Knowing that you are ready to release,

And ready to let go.

Beginning to reflect on a time when you were deeply hurt,

The feeling of being heartbroken,

Betrayed,

Where illusions begin to fade and the truth reveal itself,

And this truth hurts your heart.

Who was it?

Was it a specific person?

How old were you?

Where were you and when did you feel this pain?

How did they make you feel?

Are you angry,

Resentful,

Sad?

Inhale breath,

Acknowledging the sorrow,

The hurt,

The anger,

The feelings that you are carrying right now,

And let that go,

Releasing out of the body.

You are safe.

You are alive.

You are in control.

You are safe.

You are alive.

You are in control.

Now imagine this person standing before you.

What would you say to this person?

If you could speak your truth now,

Knowing what you know,

What would you say to them?

Allow and lean into the emotions.

Yell,

Scream,

Cry,

Whatever is coming up,

Allow it to be released and felt.

Inhale breath.

You are safe.

Your feelings are valid.

Your voice matters.

Let that go.

How does it feel to tell them what you have been holding on to?

How does it feel to speak your truth?

How does it feel to release?

In order to accept,

To release,

To move on,

We must find lessons in the suffering.

So I ask you to reflect.

What did this experience teach you about yourself,

About others?

What lessons did this person serve in your life?

Did it teach you that you deserve to be treated better?

That you are worthy of more?

Do you recognize that you are stronger than you once thought?

Did it teach you to trust your intuition,

Patience,

Empathy?

Did it teach you how you wish to be loved moving forward?

Inhale breath.

You are strong.

You are resilient.

Big sigh.

Exhale it out.

It is only when we are open to forgiveness that we can forgive.

We must forgive ourselves first.

I invite you to bring in the image of your face.

The version of you when this hurt was experienced.

See yourself before your eyes and repeat after me.

I forgive myself for not knowing any better.

I release shame and guilt surrounding this experience.

As I did not know what I know now,

It is not my fault.

Inhale breath.

Exhale release.

People enter our lives under a soul contract.

And once they fulfill that contract,

Once they teach us what it is we must learn,

Only then can we release emotional attachment to them.

Now,

Repeating after me.

I forgive you.

I thank you for the lessons you have taught me.

You have fulfilled your soul contract.

I now release you.

I forgive you.

I thank you for the lessons you have taught me.

You have fulfilled your soul contract.

I now release you.

I thank you for the lessons you have taught me.

You have fulfilled your soul contract.

I now release you.

I forgive you.

I thank you for the lessons you have taught me.

You have fulfilled your soul contract.

I now release you.

Now that you have released and made space for new energy,

I want you to imagine a glowing white light.

And this white light is an orb.

And this orb of light is filled with healing energy.

It is pure love.

It is pure happiness.

It is joy.

It is peace.

And imagine this orb floating right in front of your face,

As if you can reach out and touch it.

On your inhale breath,

Breathe in this ball of white light,

Allowing it to enter your body and heal you from the inside out.

You send this ball of light down into the chest,

The belly,

The legs and the feet with an inhale breath.

And as you exhale,

It clears all that you don't need that is being held within you,

Releasing what doesn't serve you.

Now visualize your entire body wrapped up in this white healing light.

You are filled with this light.

You are radiating from the inside out.

You begin to feel lighter and lighter,

Knowing that you are healing yourself with each and every breath.

You are much stronger than you think.

You are a warrior,

Beginning to check in with yourself.

How do you feel?

How does your heart feel?

And just simply allow your breath to come back to its natural rhythm.

This practice is very powerful.

If you need more time to integrate,

Continue to lay here and slowly bring yourself back into the body.

This is a practice that you can return to over and over again until you feel that you have let go.
