If money could talk,
What would it say about you?
I'd like to invite you to a new way of looking and thinking about money.
Your thoughts about money.
Your relationship with money.
How you treat money.
Your expectations for money.
Imagine for a moment that money is a person and could talk.
Do you know this person?
This person called money?
How well do you know money?
Have you just met money?
Do you have an antagonistic relationship with money?
What feelings and thoughts do you have toward this person called money?
Do you embrace money?
Do you complain to and about money?
Do you ever use the word enough when conversing about money to someone else?
To yourself?
In your thoughts?
How do you treat money?
And what would you like your relationship with this person called money to be about?
How would money react to what you say?
How you feel?
And what you do about money as a person?
Think about it.
Think about money and how you treat this person called money.
Is money likely to come closer to you or stay away?
And what would money say to you if money could talk?
Let's begin the process to redefine your relationship with money.
Change your thoughts about money.
Embrace any limiting beliefs about money.
And learn to treat money well.
Let's start by writing a letter to money.
We're going to write two letters,
Actually.
We're going to start by writing a letter to money from a frustrated,
Scarcity perspective.
Tell money how you feel.
Do you feel that you've struggled?
That you've worked hard?
That you deserve more money?
That somehow money just eludes you?
Get it all out.
Just let it go.
Truly have a vent session about all of your negative thoughts,
Your scarcity,
And what most bothers you about money.
You can pause this to complete this or come back to it.
Next,
We're going to write a letter to money,
But this time,
We're going to shift things.
We're going to write a letter to money from an abundance perspective.
Tell money how you feel,
How grateful you are,
That you welcome money into your life.
Tell money what you do with your relationship with money,
That you love money.
And it's okay to feel that way.
It's okay to even speak it out loud,
That you love money.
It doesn't make you bad or greedy.
We've all been taught a lot of harmful things around the word money that leave us with scarcity and fear and feeling badly.
But think of all the good that can come when you're able to share your friendship and your relationship with money,
With others,
With missions,
With worthy causes,
With those things that you want to do and enjoy.
Not only expanding your own life,
But the lives of others.
Then think about how money might answer each of your letters.
What would money say about why it's been absent from your life in the way you desire it to be there?
Would money say that it's felt welcomed into your life,
Appreciated,
Respected?
Take the time to do this simple practice.
You hold the keys to write the script of your friendship and your relationship with money.
We can't go back and change the past,
But right now in this present moment,
We can begin to shift and build a better relationship into the future.
Begin to shift your thoughts around money.
Decide what you want your relationship with money to be like.
Decide,
Then commit.
It's a simple decision.
From the decision comes the practice and the commitment to changing old patterns.
Have a beautiful day and an awesome week.
Thank you for spending some time with me.
Don't hesitate to reach out and connect.
May peace,
Joy,
And abundance find you today,
And may you also find peace,
Joy,
And abundance.
