I'd like to talk to you today about guiding your inner voice for success.
Success is not about the accomplishment of anything outside of ourselves.
It's not a dollar amount,
The number on a scale,
The title at the end of our name,
At least not entirely.
Sure,
Those are part of the success equation.
Success however really comes down to being,
To becoming,
And the journey along the way.
We set a goal or have something we desire to experience success in or around.
We often fixate and focus on the goal itself,
The accomplishment of it.
The goal,
Really and truly,
Is about who we become,
The cocoon that transforms into the butterfly.
It's truly the transformation.
Sometimes we set a goal,
We pursue the goal,
And we may never come close to achieving it.
Sometimes this happens because the journey along the way opens us up to the true mission that we're on.
You are a giant ocean of possibility and untapped potential.
You knew this when you were born into this world.
You have an inner voice,
A way of being that still knows this.
As a child,
You likely told many people your thoughts,
Your hopes,
Your dreams,
All that you believed that you could be and would be.
These thoughts,
Hopes,
And dreams were not always met with encouragement or rejoicing by those around you.
You may have heard doubt,
Admonishments,
Lectures even.
You may have been told to quit dreaming,
Get your head out of the clouds.
You weren't meant for things like that.
Somewhere along your beautiful journey of life,
Outside voices chipped away at your knowing of this possibility within you.
You became aware of your ego.
We all have an ego.
And that ego steps in to protect you.
This part of the ego is your awareness of your identity and with regard to others and how they see you or how you perceive that they see you.
This can create self-doubt.
Self-doubt happens when the ego steps in.
Some of these encounters may have left you with some thoughts that you struggle with.
They might have been encounters from long ago and yet still today you're struggling with it.
These thoughts and feelings have created questions,
Possibly questions like,
Who do I think I am?
Am I good enough?
Do I know what I'm doing?
Will anyone listen to me?
How do I do this?
Can you relate to any of these thoughts,
Any of these feelings,
Any of the emotions?
I want to remind you that you have an inner voice that still knows your potential,
Your mission,
What you are capable of.
Think of one thing right now that you believe you might not know how to do,
Might not know how to do it right or might not know how to do it well,
But something that you want to do,
Something that aligns with your mission,
Your purpose,
And your desire to serve other people.
Now hold that thought.
Let me ask you this.
How would you do it?
How would you do that thing if you did know how to do it?
I want you to really think about that one.
Tap into that inner voice that will give you the answer.
Take a deep breath and clear your mind.
Be open to whatever pops into your mind.
Write it down.
Form a thought around what that would look like,
What you think it might look like.
You don't have to get it exactly right at this moment.
Just be open to it.
Now come back to that thought.
What is the feeling you have about whether it might be right or might be a start and might lead you to being able to figure it out?
And what success might that lead you to?
There are only a few things that truly motivate us,
And fear is one of them.
Fear can motivate us in one of two ways.
Forward into action because we fear more about staying where we are,
Or it can keep us stuck.
We don't really ever go backwards.
We just don't always move forward.
So if you're not happy with the circumstances of your life,
It's probably because you're trying to find answers and solutions from outside of yourself.
But really,
Most of the answers are inside of you.
That inner voice that can guide you to the success you desire.
There are a few tools that can help you with this.
Journaling is one of them.
Doing a thought download or a brain dump each and every morning.
Meditation.
A morning routine.
All of these give you the opportunity to connect with yourself,
To go within,
And yet very few people actually take the time to do this.
I have other episodes here on Insight Timer to guide you in these processes.
These are the missing pieces for so many.
Don't miss the chance to be your own guide to success.
It's all within you.
Just draw it out.
Be willing to listen to that inner voice,
The encouraging inner voice,
Not the limiting belief little voice.
Let's silence that one for just a few minutes and allow that other inner voice of guidance toward success come out.
Good luck to you and thanks for being on this journey with me and spending this time together.
Don't hesitate to reach out and connect and share your results with me.
May peace,
Joy,
And abundance find you today and may you also find peace,
Joy,
And abundance.
I'm Jackie Aylmer.
Thanks for listening.
