The Lion's breath is a yogic breath that is said to help alleviate stress, and strengthen and stimulate the throat chakra. It is a forceful breath into the nose and exhaled forcefully through the open mouth and a stretched-out tongue towards the chin. With every exhale, carbon dioxide, and toxins leave the body. Enjoy

Welcome to Ivy Love Language.

Find a comfortable seated position.

Sit up tall as we perform lion's breath to assist us in reducing stress or tension around the face and throat.

It may help calm your nervous system and release any pent up tension that you've been holding onto.

Take a deep breath into the spine.

Long exhale out through the nose.

And then this time,

Breathe in through the nose.

Stick the tongue out as far as you can down towards your chin and exhale.

Inhale fill up the lungs all the way down into the bottom of the ribs.

Open the mouth nice and wide,

Stick your tongue out down towards your chin and exhale.

And again,

Deep breath in through the nose.

Open the mouth,

Stick your tongue out as much as you can,

Releasing the toxins,

Letting go.

This time,

Inhale through the nose.

Open the mouth as wide as you can,

Stick your tongue out.

And imagine exhaling what you no longer need.

Deep breath in.

Exhale out your frustrations,

Open the mouth wide as you can,

Stick your tongue out.

Take a deep breath in.

Any anger that resides in you,

Open the mouth,

Stick the tongue out as wide as you can and exhale.

Two more times,

Inhale.

Last time.

Close the mouth off.

Continue breathing in and out through the nose.

Just scan,

Scan your body.

Scan yourself from the crown of the head all the way down to your feet.

Feel for any tension that you may still be feeling.

Feel free to repeat this again until your unwanted feelings of frustration and tension alleviates.

You are loved.

Much love.
