The following meditation is designed to help you explore for yourself and embody the energy of gratitude.
By practicing this meditation you can become familiar with the quality and energy of gratitude.
So that you can feel more gratitude more consistently in your life.

So let's begin.
If you would just relax and find a place of comfort.
Adjusting your body however you do so that you feel very comfortable.
Take a few moments to move your body and change position if you feel the need to.
Until you find this place of deep comfort where your body can relax fully and completely.
And you can let go.
As you let go you find yourself going much much deeper.
Dropping into your body.
And relaxing into it.
Placing your awareness on your breath.
And intending to relax your breath fully and completely.
Completely relaxed in your body.
From the top of your head all the way down to your fingertips and your toes.
Relaxing all of your muscles along the way fully and completely.
All of the muscles,
Skin,
Fascia,
Organs and other body systems.
So very relaxed.
Let yourself go deeper and deeper with each and every breath.
Letting go more and more and more.
How much more relaxed can you become?
How much deeper can you reach?
Choose that depth of relaxation and wellbeing.
For you,
For love,
For the present.
Now,
Remaining completely relaxed and intending to continue to relax.
Gently bring your awareness in the area of your heart center,
At the very center of your chest.
And feel what you feel there,
Whatever it is.
Imagine,
Feel or visualize that you can move your breath through that space.
And so gently breathing through the space of your heart center.
Gently and lovingly activating your heart center.
Awakening it through your awareness.
Energizing it through your breath.
And so just breathe and feel and be one with your heart center.
Fully and completely.
Appreciating every second of the experience.
Living,
Loving,
Breathing,
Feeling,
Being in the space of your heart center.
Relax into the experience.
More and more and more and more.
Now,
From this space,
Deep within your heart center,
Ask yourself this simple question.
What is gratitude?
You're not asking from your intellect or from your mind.
You're asking from your heart.
From the space deep within your heart center.
To be shown what gratitude is.
Take this journey to the very core of your being.
To the core of gratitude where it always is.
There.
Waiting for you to experience it.
Feel it.
Breathe into it.
Become one with it.
Be it.
Fully and completely.
And let any memories,
Associations,
Images,
Energies,
Symbols,
Colors,
Sounds,
Archetypes,
Anything and everything that comes up in this space.
Let it arise.
As you continue to focus on gratitude.
Align your consciousness to be filled with gratitude.
As you contemplate on what gratitude is to you.
Allowing for any memories stored in your subconscious to come to the surface as you simply feel what you feel.
Whatever that is.
And so continue to ponder the question.
What is gratitude?
Feel it.
And if for any reason you find it challenging to feel gratitude.
Or to remain in a state of gratitude for a long time.
Bring up a memory or memories when you received.
When you felt loved.
When you felt cared for.
In some way or another.
Or remember someone who inspires you.
A sage.
A master.
A spirit guide.
A kind loving soul.
Who lives in a state of gratitude.
Who for you embodies its qualities,
Its energy.
And connect to this energy.
Let them model the energy of gratitude for you.
Or remind you of gratitude and what gratitude feels like.
And feel it.
Let it resonate in every part of your being,
In every little space within you.
Feel gratitude.
Breathe gratitude.
Resonate with gratitude.
Become one with gratitude.
Be gratitude.
Fully and completely.
In every part of your being.
In every cell of your body.
And feel gratitude.
Feel grateful simply because you choose to.
Grateful to be alive.
To breathe.
To feel.
To be.
And to become whatever you choose to become.
Be whoever you choose to be.
And feel gratitude in your heart for that.
For all of it.
For all of life.
For all of you.
For all that is.
So what is gratitude to you?
Keep asking yourself the question.
Investigating.
How does it feel?
Explore it.
Let yourself experience it.
Become aware of it.
Aware that you're aware of the experience of gratitude.
And feel grateful.
For all of it.
All of you.
All of life.
For all that is.
And so now,
Filled with this gratitude.
Gently coming back.
To the space that you're in.
A grateful space.
To the time that you're in.
A grateful time.
And to the body that you're in.
A grateful body.
A grateful you,
Changed through this experience of gratitude.
Feeling grateful and feeling the space and time that you're in with this gratitude.
Feel it in your body fully and completely.
And when you're ready,
In this state of gratitude,
You can slowly and lovingly open your eyes.
