Christmas: The Jesus Connection

In this course, we will explore the birth of Jesus and the impact it has on our renewal in Christ over 10 lessons. Each will highlight aspects of Christmas that may help in discovering deeper insights into Christ as the Messiah. We look at Christmas today and focus on peace, love, compassion, awe, wonder, faith, hope, and joy. We meditate on Jesus' peace and praise Him. We look at scriptures that give an account of Christ's birth and we look at the meaning behind Christmas - with connections between the Old and New Testaments, the coming of the new Messiah, into this incredible occurrence at Bethlehem. We will explore the links prophesied by people such as Isaiah and King David, and their visions and psalms, right up to the birth of Jesus Christ, Yeshua, or Emmanuel. We will look at the people at the scene of His birth in Bethlehem - who they were and what they teach us about love and life. We also take a look at the immaculate conception of Mary and her devote humility; Joseph and his trust; the three wise men and their faith, and the shepherds' awe and wonder - they themselves pointing to Jesus as a sign of things to come. We even explore the symbolism of the location at Bethlehem and the connection it has with our Creator. Each lesson will finish with a short meditation on a Bible passage, to help immerse ourselves into the spirit of Christmas. For those wishing to learn how to meditate on the Word, a new course will be available in the new year, and I have a course to be made available on the gifts of the Holy Spirit in 2021.
