Hi there,

You're listening to Ambie.

This is a new series of meditations.

We will be focusing on the New Testament for this meditation.

And the verse is from John 14,

27.

I'll just read it through and then we can make ourselves comfortable and get ourselves into a meditative state and then we'll continue.

Peace I leave with you,

My peace I give to you,

Not as the world do I give to you.

Let not your hearts be troubled,

Neither let them be afraid.

Quick back history,

John was,

He has said that he was Christ's best friend and Jesus on the cross,

Yeshua asks John to care for his mother Mary when he dies and later on resurrects again.

John was the apostle that lived the longest and he wrote a lot about what had occurred with Christ but also revelations.

Deeply insightful man and I would encourage you to read through John because there's so much to learn about love and light and the letting go of fear.

So we will just focus on John 14,

27 for this meditation and so if you get yourselves really comfortable,

If it's hot,

Take off your shoes,

Allow a lovely breeze to come in through the window,

If it's peaceful,

Listen to the birds outside.

You can lie down if you're needing to lie down.

If it's cold,

Make sure that the windows are shut,

The rooms well ventilated but warm and you have a blanket and your feet are warm as well.

If you're sitting,

Sit upright,

Feet on the ground and you can have your palms in your laps by your sides or you can have them one palm inside the other,

Whatever is comfortable.

And I'd ask you to take a really deep breath in,

Count to four and breathe out for five.

Just relaxing your shoulders as you do this,

Breathe again for five and breathe out for six.

And I'd like you to breathe in for six,

Breathe out for seven.

I'd like you to curl your toes in really tightly and release them,

Arch your feet,

Pull them down and up again and around,

Just loosen the joints there as much as you're able and relax.

Tighten your calves and relax.

Tighten your knees and behind your knees and relax.

And now your thighs and relax,

Breathing slowly,

Either into your belly or into your heart space,

Whichever creates the least tension.

And we will go up to the buttocks,

Squeeze them in and release.

Release the lower back,

Release the midsection of your ribcage,

Just pulling around where your belly is,

Squeeze that in and then release.

And on and on,

Breathe in and release.

Pull your shoulders up to your ears and then let them go right,

Just let them really flop around and release,

Just be relaxed.

And your hands pull your fingers in and make a fist,

Really tightly and release.

Turn your wrists around in a clockwise position,

Anti-clockwise,

Clockwise again,

Your hands down.

Now squeeze in the forearms,

Release,

Elbows and your upper arms,

Muscles really tightly and release.

Now your lower back,

Just pull out your arms so that you're opening your ribcage,

Letting that good air in and out.

Continue to breathe in and out very slowly.

Release the neck,

Neck up,

Chin in and release.

Squeeze your face up,

Eyes and release.

And your lips,

Release and your tongue up to the top of your palate,

Squeeze and release.

Peace I leave with you,

My peace I give to you.

Not as the world gives do I give to you.

Let not your hearts be troubled,

Neither let them be afraid.

Peace,

Peace I leave with you,

My peace I give to you.

Peace I leave with you,

I trust you with this peace.

I give you my peace,

I give it to you because I love you and I love the people around you.

And I am peace,

I am your peace.

Peace I leave with you.

I would like you to take yourself into a moment where this peace that has been left with you,

Where is this moment that you have been trusted with and that you have been given,

It's a gift.

Where,

In which moment is this peace?

Some find it easy to be at peace,

Some not so much.

And it's really easy to be peaceful or to give peace when the circumstances are comfortable.

This peace also is required when things are traumatic and scary,

Offer no solution.

This peace is available always.

It begins with us,

It's a gift,

We can't do this on our own.

It has been given to us and left with us.

We're stewards of this peace.

What does that look like to you?

I'm going to leave some time and space,

About five minutes,

And I'd like you to really consider where this peace resides within you and how it can be reflected out as that light in situations that require it in joyful moments,

In still moments,

In challenging moments,

In grieving moments,

In horrific moments sometimes.

Allow this peace into your heart.

So please,

Whatever the circumstance,

I ask you to reflect now.

I leave with you my peace I give to you.

Not as the world gives do I give to you.

Not as the world gives.

We find the world gives a lot of stress.

So if Christ is not giving as the world gives,

What is he giving?

Yeah,

Peace.

It's very easy to get trapped in to the cycle of this world.

It's almost like a spiral sometimes.

The more we have,

The more we need to sustain that.

And the lack of trust that God will provide.

The lacking of trust in our neighbors.

But when we give our peace,

Even if our neighbor isn't able to be aware of what that means or how,

Our example is our way and his way of teaching or showing compassion.

And it will give you a deep sense of peace.

It sounds like it's almost ironic,

But it's this amazing inner heart,

Soft,

Gentle heart that doesn't return evil for evil.

It's this beautiful sense of peace and again it is an amazing gift.

So please let not your hearts be troubled,

Neither let them be afraid.

John says that where there is fear there is no love.

So if peace then stops fear,

What's the result?

Love.

He can give you that kind of peace that we can only ever imagine.

So please let not your hearts be troubled,

Neither let them be afraid.

I'd like you to bring to your consciousness an area in your life where your heart appears to be troubled or in fear.

And remember that Christ is with you as you do this and you're safe and you're loved and as you bring these to your mind.

Then recount the first words of his passage.

Peace I leave with you,

My peace I give to you.

So open that door in your heart that appears to be troubled or afraid and allow Christ to meet his peace.

There is no greater gift on this earth other than eternal life.

While we're here this is the answer.

It's so easy,

So complex.

Again,

Five minutes to bring to mind,

Be gentle on yourself,

Step at a time.

Where your heart may be troubled or afraid and recount your call and allow the peace that Christ has left with you and given to you.

To just bring that light into that situation.

Light of love,

Expose that area,

Lift the veil and allow that amazing light to absorb and dissipate.

No fear,

No troubles,

Peace.

Breathe in deeply.

Release.

May the peace of Christ be with you always.

May you feel His love wrap you.

A beautiful embrace.

And as you go about your days or evenings,

May this peace continue to reside in you.

I pray this for you in the holy name of Yeshua Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Now I will count you out of the meditation.

However,

If you wish to remain a little longer and listen to the music,

That's quite okay.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Three.

Moving your body around a little.

Gently.

Breathe in again.

Two.

Noticing the sounds around you.

And three.

Open your eyes.

Peace be with you,

Brothers and sisters.

I love you.

And always remember,

He loves you infinitely more.

Thank you,

Lord Jesus Christ,

And thank you for listening to this meditation.

You are welcome to come back and listen to this or any of them,

Anytime.

God bless.

Amen.

This was a fantastic focus on Christ’s wish for peace in our lives. It allowed me space to think about what that really means in my life. I had some trouble hearing your voice over the music at times. Thank you for this blessing of focused moment of peace I will carry with me.
