Hello and welcome,

I am Isaiah and this is the Artemis Invocation Meditation.

Make yourself comfortable,

Sitting,

Lying down,

Preferably with your feet on the ground,

And crossing your arms and legs.

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath.

Take the time to find the position that will allow your whole body and mind to relax.

Start by inhaling deeply and slowly through your nose,

Bringing the air deep into your belly and letting it swell.

Now exhale through your mouth,

Slowly and deeply,

Letting the air flow and entering into relaxation.

Breathe in,

Imagine that the fresh air completely fills your body,

From the top of your head to your toes and to the tips of your fingers,

And breathe out.

Imagine letting go everything you don't need,

All the debris that clutters you.

Breathe in through your nose,

Fill your stomach and chest with air.

Breathe out through your mouth.

Pay attention to your legs and relax along your thighs,

Knees,

Calves,

Ankles,

Feet,

Toes.

Breathe in slowly and deeply.

Breathe out.

Note your back,

Your neck,

Your spine.

Let your back stretch and your shoulders drop.

Relax your muscles,

The weight goes off and your body softens.

Breathe in through your nose,

Slowly and deeply.

Breathe out through your mouth.

Relax your bust,

Your chest,

Your stomach.

Inhale,

Exhale and relax the muscles of your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your elbows,

Your wrists,

Your hands,

Your fingers.

Breathe in through your nose.

Breathe out through your mouth.

Feel the relaxation in your head,

Your face,

Your forehead,

Your eyes,

Your nose,

Your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Your ears,

Your skull,

Your hair.

Breathe in.

The air completely renews you.

All parts of your body are now filled with fresh and delicious energy.

Breathe out.

The air that comes out removes all the tensions,

All the worries and all the unwanted thoughts.

You now feel calm and relaxed,

Breathing slowly,

Breathing deeply.

And with each breath,

You move further towards the calm center of yourself and deep relaxation settles throughout your body and mind.

Welcome this well-being and relax even more.

Visualize now roots growing below your feet and around your legs and also starting from your tailbone.

Beautiful,

Powerful roots that go deep into Mother Earth,

Which allow you to feel grounded.

They hold you in place and grow through the soil and the different layers of the earth and descend,

Descend towards the center of the planet.

They keep you firmly anchored,

Rooted and secure.

Your roots continue to grow even deeper until finally reaching the heart of the planet.

You feel when you have reached the center of Gaia of Mother Earth because you feel bathed in a flow of unconditional love.

All the love that the earth has for you,

This energy,

This love that now comes back up through your roots and slowly rises to fill your whole being,

Your whole body.

This warmth,

This amber,

Coppery colored light that is the earth's love for you fills your body starting with the feet and working its way up your legs,

Up your spine,

Through your arms,

Your hands,

Then moving up towards your head,

Completely encompassing every cell in your body.

And you feel an immense sense of security,

Stability,

Of trust.

You feel strong,

Loved,

Centered,

Full of a sense of belonging because you know that you have your place here on this earth,

In this universe.

I now call upon Artemis and allow her to join us in this time and space.

Artemis,

Lady of the Wild,

Show us how to reconnect with our wild woman archetype.

Artemis,

Assist us in listening to our inner wild woman and walk the wild woman path.

Goddess,

Help us give full attention to the moment we are in so that we do not miss valuable opportunities that come our way.

Artemis,

Goddess of Adventure,

Assist us to take charge and meet challenges head on and with courage.

Today,

Artemis,

We will tune into our bodies and move with your grace and physical vitality.

Artemis,

Show us how to release the limits we impose on ourselves and how to get all the enjoyment,

Freedom and success that we deserve in life.

Goddess,

Like you we accept responsibility for our happiness and for meeting our own needs.

Artemis,

Help us approach our lives as a series of adventures,

Finding the meaning,

Excitement and joy in our daily experiences.

Artemis,

Assist us in letting go of our fears so that we can become more adventurous and courageous like you.

I now invite you to visualize yourself in the form of Artemis.

Let's roam in the woods with the Goddess.

Let's join the nymphs amongst the wildflowers,

Cry with the wolves under the full moon and enjoy lying down in fresh grass.

Imagine you wear a short toga so you can move freely.

You have a deer as your animal companion.

You,

Like Artemis,

Are soft and smooth of limb,

Shapely of bone.

You are strong.

You are a huntress.

Feel the sheer joy of walking in the forest and mountains,

Of belonging in nature,

Immersed deeply into the wild,

All of your senses bombarded with information from the surrounding nature.

Sense how it feels to belong to no one but yourself,

To be one with yourself,

To be complete as yourself,

At home with yourself,

Happy in your skin.

No one can take that away from you.

You carry a bow and arrow,

Which express focused intention,

Self-protection from danger,

And the ability to get food,

Nourishment from nature.

You feel fed and supported by the natural kingdom.

You run and wander in the woods,

Feeling safe,

Alive and independent,

With focus and determination.

Hear the little birds chirping,

The wild boar forage in the distance,

The wind blowing through the leaves of the huge trees around you.

Touch the scratchy bark of those trees,

The smooth grass under your bare feet,

The fragile petal of a flower,

The hot furry pelt of the wild deer by your side.

Smell the perfumes of the undergrowth,

Inhale the delicate aroma of a mushroom and the strong,

Almost repelling fragrance of the hummus.

Detect and recognize all the animals around you by their odor.

Look up at the moon,

Showing through the canopy.

Gaze at your reflection in a small secluded pond.

Watch the wild geese take their flight against the autumn sky.

Admire the jumps and leaps of the rabbits.

Taste the fresh water of the nearby stream.

Cut and gobble a handful of raspberries.

Feast on the results of your hunt.

Bite into a young chestnut just fallen from the tree.

I now invite you to imagine that you are,

In fact,

The deer itself.

Picture the beauty of the deer and then plunge into its consciousness for a while.

The deer is like Artemis and Artemis is like the deer.

Take some time to feel and experience life as a deer.

The deer has ears pricked listening for any danger or concern.

It is in all things natural,

Feeling at home in the forest.

The deer's breath reflects the moist life of the forest,

Its home and refuge.

Each breath gives you information on the environment and how you need to respond.

You feel the moonlight on your fur or the soft sun glimmering through the trees as you walk.

Hear and feel the fallen leaves crunching under your hooves.

Imagine your hooves are very responsive,

Springing,

Quick.

You can stand very still,

Motionless,

Listening to the forest,

Smelling,

Breathing.

You hear sounds just as sounds,

No naming,

Everything for the first time.

When you move,

All your muscles move as one,

With you,

For you.

Your bones move instantly,

Your organs and blood are throbbing with life power.

You are all instincts,

You always know what to do,

When to fight,

When to flee,

When to sleep and when to eat.

Your intuition and reflexes are accurate and trustworthy.

You never question or doubt yourself as a deer.

When you rest,

You rest in nature.

Allow your soft,

Warm animal body to feel the support and comfort of the earth and your heart to experience the magic of nature.

It is soon time to slowly,

Gradually,

Return to your usual state of mindfulness and you feel drawn back to the here and now.

As we finish this meditation,

Take a deep breath and,

When you feel ready,

Allow yourself to come back slowly,

To come back to your human body.

Come back into the room,

Feel the texture of the clothes on your skin,

The weight of your body on the chair or bed.

Back in your space,

You become aware of the sounds around you and you start to move your body.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes,

Stretch out if it's good for you.

When you feel it,

Gently open your eyes,

Smile and go peacefully into the world to create and experience joy and peace.

Know that this is always available for you and,

As you continue to practice this invocation and this journey back to nature and wilderness,

You can allow it anytime you feel you need it.

Don't forget to drink and,

If you wish,

Eat something to anchor these energies in your body right now.

I thank you for listening and I hope you enjoyed this meditation.
