Hi,
I'm Isaiah.
Welcome to this guided meditation about creativity with the Greek goddess Demeter.
Let's begin.
Make yourself comfortable.
Sitting,
Lying down,
Preferably with your feet on the ground,
Uncrossing your arms and legs.
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath.
Take the time to find the position that will allow your whole body and mind to relax.
Start by inhaling deeply and slowly through your nose,
Bringing the air deep into your belly and letting it swell.
Now,
Exhale through the mouth,
Slowly and deeply,
Letting the air flow and entering into relaxation.
Breathe in.
Imagine that the fresh air completely fills your body from the top of your head to your toes and to the tips of your fingers.
And breathe out.
Imagine letting go of everything you don't need,
All the debris that clutters you.
Breathe in through your nose.
Fill your stomach and chest with air.
Breathe out through your mouth.
Pay attention to your legs and relax along your thighs,
Knees,
Calves,
Ankles,
Feet,
Toes.
Breathe in slowly and deeply.
Breathe out.
Note your back,
Your neck,
Your spine.
Let your back stretch and your shoulders drop.
Relax your muscles the way it goes off and your body softens.
Breathe in through your nose,
Slowly and deeply.
Breathe out through your mouth.
Relax your bust,
Your chest,
Your stomach.
Inhale.
Exhale and relax the muscles of your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your elbows,
Your wrists,
Your hands,
Your fingers.
Breathe in through your nose.
Breathe out through your mouth.
Feel the relaxation in your head,
Your face,
Your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your nose,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Your ears,
Your skull,
Your hair.
Breathe in.
The air completely renews you.
All parts of your body are now filled with fresh and delicious energy.
Breathe out.
The air that comes out removes all the tensions,
All the worries and all the unwanted thoughts.
You now feel calm and relaxed,
Breathing slowly,
Breathing deeply,
And with each breath you move further towards the calm centre of yourself and deep relaxation settles throughout your body and mind.
Welcome this well-being and relax even more.
Visualise now roots growing below your feet and around your legs and also,
Starting from your tailbone,
Beautiful,
Powerful roots that go deep into Mother Earth which allow you to feel grounded.
They hold you in place and grow through the soil and the different layers of the Earth and descend,
Descend towards the centre of the planet.
They keep you firmly anchored,
Rooted and secure.
Your roots continue to grow even deeper until finally reaching the heart of the planet.
You know when you have reached the centre of Gaia,
Of Mother Earth,
Because you feel bathed in a flow of unconditional love,
All the love that the Earth has for you,
This energy,
This love that now comes back up through your roots and slowly rises to fill your whole being,
Your whole body.
This warmth,
This amber,
Coppery-coloured light that is the Earth's love for you now fills your body,
Starting with the feet and working its way up your legs,
Your spine,
Through your arms to your hands,
Then moves up towards your head,
Completely encompassing every cell in your body.
And you feel an immense sense of security,
Stability,
Of trust.
You feel strong,
Loved,
Centred,
Full of a sense of belonging because you know that you have your place here on this Earth,
In this Universe.
First,
I invite you to visualise your womb area.
Concentrate on feeling the cauldron of life in your womb.
Your uterus is the origin of life,
The origin of the Universe.
It is a place of high energy and high creation.
Feel,
See or imagine a spark of light in your belly,
A golden light infused into you by the meter.
Visualise this spark growing bigger and bigger,
Brighter and brighter.
Feel your womb as a glowing,
Shining bowl,
Overflowing with golden bright energy.
The energy of life that you have created is never-ending and almighty.
It overflows now and always from your womb and fills your whole body with bright golden light.
Remember,
It is always available to you.
The meter is dormant in your womb at all times.
And you simply have to remember,
Focus on the creative energy,
The energy of life and grow it at any time you need it.
Concentrate again on the bowl of energy in your belly and choose one tiny spark.
Look at it closely.
That spark is an idea,
A calling,
A mission.
It is your next song,
Your next painting,
Your next book,
Recipe or blog post.
You are that spark's chosen conduit to the world.
As the energy of life grows,
So does the energy of the world.
As you breathe in and out,
Watch the spark grow into a beautiful flame.
Feel the warmth of that flame as it expands and grows into your heart.
Receive this flame in gratitude,
For it has chosen you.
Feel the echo of this new idea as it fills your chest with each inhale.
On your next exhale,
Release any doubts as they don't serve your full expression of this idea.
Feel the warmth of the flame as it grows again,
Rising now to your head.
Feel the light at the top of your head and watch it slowly move into every area of your body.
You notice your head and face are energized now and at the same time your muscles are relaxed.
Feel the light as it travels out your ears.
Notice as it rolls past the back of your eyes.
Let it roll down your cheeks and through your lips.
As the light continues to move through your body,
Feel the creative energy in your body,
Brightly glowing and pulsating.
Coursing through your every vein and artery.
Feel now this energy flowing into your arms,
Shoulders and neck.
Feel the energy flowing in your fingers and hands,
Just waiting to be realized.
Your chest,
Stomach and back are now buzzing with creativity.
You can feel it flowing into your hips.
You follow the energy as it courses through your legs,
Ankles,
Feet and toes.
Now your entire body is absorbing the creativity.
This energy that is almost tangible.
You notice that this bright golden energy feels like lubricant freeing up any joints in your body that are stiff,
As well as any places in your mind that are figuratively stiff.
This energy cannot be lost or destroyed.
It is always within you.
Demeter,
Greek goddess of fertility and creativity,
Is always in you,
With you.
You just have to remember and take the time to feel and grow the energy.
If you feel you are creatively blocked,
It is simply because you are disconnected from this energy.
But you always have the ability to return home,
Even though you might not believe it entirely now.
Even if you might feel uncreative or stuck.
Know that when you are in a flow state,
In your natural energetic frequency,
You have infinite creative power.
And the only thing that might be stopping you from connecting with your endless creativity is your perceived boundaries,
Your false notion of the impossible.
Vibrating in tune with your creative energy,
You are filled with ideas that you simply cannot wait to manifest.
Repeat now with me,
In your head or out loud,
The following phrase ten times.
I am a co-creator with the universe.
I put pen to paper,
Brush to canvas,
Fingers to keys.
Demeter helps me remember,
And I joyfully do the work.
I am a co-creator with the universe.
I put pen to paper,
Brush to canvas,
Fingers to keys.
Demeter helps me remember,
And I joyfully do the work.
I am a co-creator with the universe.
I put pen to paper,
Brush to canvas,
Fingers to keys.
Demeter helps me remember,
And I joyfully do the work.
I am a co-creator with the universe.
I put pen to paper,
Brush to canvas,
Fingers to keys.
Demeter helps me remember,
And I joyfully do the work.
I am a co-creator with the universe.
I put pen to paper,
Brush to canvas,
Fingers to keys.
Demeter helps me remember,
And I joyfully do the work.
I am a co-creator with the universe.
I put pen to paper,
Brush to canvas,
Fingers to keys.
Demeter helps me remember,
And I joyfully do the work.
I am a co-creator with the universe.
I put pen to paper,
Brush to canvas,
Fingers to keys.
Demeter helps me remember,
And I joyfully do the work.
I am a co-creator with the universe.
I put pen to paper,
Brush to canvas,
Fingers to keys.
Demeter helps me remember,
And I joyfully do the work.
I am a co-creator with the universe.
I put pen to paper,
Brush to canvas,
Fingers to keys.
Demeter helps me remember,
And I joyfully do the work.
I am a co-creator with the universe.
I put pen to paper,
Brush to canvas,
Fingers to keys.
Demeter helps me remember,
And I joyfully do the work.
Your thoughts are now fluid,
And you have let go of any points of constriction.
You have no shortage of ideas,
And you are ready,
With everything you need,
To go back out into the world and act upon your plans and manifest your incredible innate creativity.
Finally,
Take in a deep breath of inspiration and creative energy and breathe out,
Letting go of the last of your perceived obstacles.
It is soon time to slowly,
Gradually,
Return to your usual state of mindfulness and you gently feel drawn back to the here and now.
As we bring this meditation to an end,
Take a deep breath,
And,
When you feel ready,
Allow yourself to come back into the room.
Feel the texture of the clothes on your skin,
The weight of your body on the chair or bed.
Back in your space,
You become aware of the sounds around you and you start to move your body.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
Stretch out if it's good for you.
When you feel ready,
Stretch out if it's good for you.
When you feel it,
Gently open your eyes,
Smile and go peacefully into the world to create and experience joy and gratitude.
Don't forget to drink water,
And,
If you wish,
Eat something to anchor those energies in your body right now.
Remember that this is a practice,
And,
Like any skills,
Takes time to develop.
Remember you can come back to this meditation any time and as often as you need to connect closely with your inner Demeter,
With your own spark of creative energy.
I thank you for listening,
And I hope you have enjoyed this meditation.
