Hey and welcome to this Athena invocation meditation.

I'm Isaiah,

Make sure you will not be disturbed.

You want to be safe enough in both the physical and spiritual realms to let go and immerse completely in the experience.

Make yourself comfortable sitting,

Lying down,

Preferably with your feet on the ground,

Uncrossing your arms and legs.

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath.

Take the time to find the position that will allow your whole body and mind to relax.

Begin by inhaling deeply and slowly through your nose,

Bringing the air deep into your belly and letting it swell.

Exhale now through the mouth,

Slowly and deeply,

Letting the air flow and entering into relaxation.

Breathe in,

Imagine that the fresh air completely fills your body from the top of your head to your toes and to the tips of your fingers and breathe out.

Imagine letting go of everything you don't need,

All the debris that clutters you.

Breathe in through your nose,

Fill your stomach and chest with air.

Breathe out through your mouth,

Pay attention to your legs and relax along your thighs,

Knees,

Calves,

Ankles,

Feet,

Toes.

Breathe in,

Slowly and deeply,

Breathe out.

Note your back,

Your neck,

Your spine.

Let your back stretch and your shoulders drop.

Relax your muscles,

The weight goes off and your body softens.

Breathe in through the nose,

Slowly and deeply,

Breathe out through your mouth.

Relax your bust,

Your chest,

Your stomach.

Inhale,

Exhale and relax the muscles of your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your elbows,

Your wrists,

Your hands,

Your fingers.

Breathe in through your nose,

Breathe out through your mouth.

Feel the relaxation in your head,

Your face,

Your forehead,

Your eyes,

Your nose,

Your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Your ears,

Your skull,

Your hair.

Breathe in,

The air completely renews you,

All parts of your body are now filled with fresh and delicious energy.

Breathe out,

The air that comes out removes all the tensions,

All the worries and all the unwanted thoughts.

You now feel calm and relaxed,

Breathing slowly,

Breathing deeply and with each breath you move further towards the calm center of yourself and deep relaxation settles throughout your body and mind.

Welcome this well-being and relax even more.

Visualize now roots growing below your feet and around your legs and also starting from your tailbone,

Beautiful powerful roots that go deep into Mother Earth that allow you to feel grounded.

They hold you in place and grow through the soil and the different layers of the earth and descend,

Descend towards the center of the planet.

They keep you firmly anchored,

Rooted and secure.

They continue to sink,

To grow even deeper until finally reaching the heart of the planet.

You feel when you have reached the center of Gaia,

Of Mother Earth because you feel bathed in a flow of unconditional love,

All the love that the earth has for you,

This energy,

This love that now comes back up through your roots that slowly rises to fill your whole being,

Your whole body.

This warmth,

This amber,

Coppery colored light that is the earth's love for you fills your body starting with the feet,

Working its way up your legs,

Up your spine,

Through your arms and hands,

Then moving up again towards your head,

Completely encompassing every cell in your body.

And you feel an immense sense of security,

Stability and trust.

You feel strong,

Loved,

Centered,

Full of a sense of belonging because you know that you have your place here on this earth,

In this universe.

I invite you now to find yourself at the bottom of a hill in an ancient city.

The sun is shining,

The sky is extra blue,

The air is dry and smells of thyme and oregano.

You can hear cicadas and the temperature is rather hot.

There are some olive trees along the path you find yourself on.

You know you are in Greece and you guess you must be in Athens,

But you understand that you find yourself way back in the past,

In a time and age where the Greeks revered the gods and goddesses from the Olympus and Athena was the patron of their capital.

You start climbing the path that you know now leads to the Acropolis and to the Parthenon,

Athena's major temple in the city.

On the steep path you are alone and you climb in silent devotion hoping to meet the goddess in her temple.

When you reach the top of the hill you face the most magnificent temple with huge marble columns rising high into the sky and a sculpted triangular shaped gable overhanging them.

The temple is enormous and you are in awe of its beauty and the richness of the decorations.

Bowing your head in devotion you enter the temple and walk towards the shrine.

You are faced with an extraordinary statue of Athena standing 12 meters high above you.

It is carved of wood and covered in ivory and gold.

It depicts a fully armed woman.

She holds a shield in her left hand illustrated with various battle scenes.

Two griffins and a sphinx stand on her helmet and a large snake is visible behind her shield.

It is Athena in all her glory,

Impressive and overpowering.

You kneel in front of the goddess.

You have come to ask for advice,

Wisdom and protection but you find yourself speechless and slightly overwhelmed.

You nonetheless recite your invocation.

Hail Athena,

Sacred goddess of wisdom and war,

Bringer of clarity and strategy,

Sacred lady of divine justice and weaver of knowledge,

Goddess of reason and writing,

Lady of crafts and creation,

Favored child of Zeus,

I invoke thee,

I invoke thee,

I invoke thee.

You wait a while but nothing seems to happen.

So you bow once more and retreat to the steps outside the temple,

Slightly disappointed.

Sitting on the steps you watch over the city of Athens,

Wondering how you can connect with the goddess and hear her answers to your prayers.

At that instant a young woman you assume to be a priestess of the temple comes to sit by your side.

She asks if she can be of assistance,

As she saw you seemed lost.

You explain you're overwhelmed and how the statue of the goddess,

Albeit magnificent,

Seemed distant and out of reach.

The young woman laughs and an owl flies from the sky to rest on her shoulder.

You suddenly understand it is Athena talking to you and sitting by your side.

The goddess has taken this less impressive aspect to help you connect with her wisdom.

She says,

Dear child,

I invite you now to hold more clarity and wisdom.

I gift you with the piercing eyes of the owl so that you may see what few can.

I grant you with understanding and the power to know to direct your intellect.

I will guide your hands as you weave the bright cords of ideas and thought and the threads will hold tight as you integrate the vision.

I will open the path for you to walk in your truth and speak it to others so you may teach and brighten their paths.

And I invite you now to know that you possess the knowledge of justice,

Of tactics and strategy.

And I gift you with a sound mind and a steady temper.

I bless you with good judgment and show you the long view.

You breathe in these magnificent presents that the goddess has bestowed upon you.

When you open your eyes,

Athena is gone.

But you feel an immense sense of peace and calm and you know that the goddess infused these feelings into you.

You feel an immense gratitude for her gifts and you join your hands in prayer once more to thank Athena.

You stay still for a few moments,

Watching the ancient city of Athens and enjoying this new feeling of peace and wisdom.

It is soon time to slowly,

Gradually return to your usual state of mindfulness and you gently feel drawn back to the here and now.

Allow this place in your mind to slowly and gently fall away.

As we bring this meditation to an end,

Take a deep breath and when you feel ready,

Allow yourself to come back into the room.

Feel the texture of the clothes on your skin,

The weight of your body on the chair or bed.

Back in your space,

You become aware of the sounds around you and you start to move your body.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

Stretch out if it's good for you.

When you feel it,

Gently open your eyes,

Smile and go peacefully into the world to create and experience joy and gratitude.

Don't forget to drink water and if you wish,

Eat something to anchor those energies in your body right now.

I thank you for listening and I hope you have enjoyed this meditation.

It's my first experience with your meditations as I was looking for an invocation meditation to help me. I was wearing from the moment I got onto the steps to meet Athena. Weaping with longing and recognition. Felt incredible nestoligic and hurried up to throw my self at her. And the words of the prayer are exactly what I needed. Thank you for this healing 💕
