I'm Iris van Ooyen and this activation will help you start your day with gratitude.

Gratitude is a powerful tool and it is a shortcut to happiness,

Feeling calmer and less stressed.

And focusing on gratitude helps you switch from worry and fear to the things that are going well in your life.

And as you may know,

What you focus on,

You attract.

So it's important that we keep our mind focused on the things that we do want to create more of.

Let's take a quick moment to ground because the more present you are in your body,

The easier it will be to feel the gratitude.

So place both your feet firmly on the floor.

Relax and sit back.

Find a comfortable position.

Feel the weight of your feet on the floor.

If you want,

You can place a hand on your lower belly to deepen your breathing.

And with every exhale,

Send your energy and your awareness to your feet and to the earth beneath you.

And feel how with every exhale,

You are becoming more aware of your physical body.

Feel how your feet are getting heavier.

Perhaps they start to tingle and relax your shoulders.

And then let's take a few deep breaths in together to fully align our energy fields and to ensure that we're present here in this moment with all of our energy,

Attention and focus.

Take a deep breath in and let it out.

Breathe in and release.

And I'm setting the intention that only that energy and information can come through that is in your highest good and that will support you in embracing an attitude of gratitude.

Now take a moment to think of something that you can be grateful for.

It can be anything.

It can be big or small.

Can be the fact that the sun is shining,

That you have a roof over your head.

Maybe something you're looking forward to today.

Let something come to mind.

And then allow yourself to truly feel the gratitude.

Really allowing yourself to feel what it is that you're grateful for.

Because that's where the power lies.

And let this feeling of gratitude expand.

Let it fill your entire body.

Now pick a second thing that you can be grateful for.

And again,

Anything goes.

Just go with the first thing that comes to mind.

No matter how arbitrary it might seem.

And fully focus on whatever it is that you picked.

Smile.

Because you have something to be grateful for.

And again,

Allow it to fill your entire being.

Fill yourself with the energy of gratitude.

And now pick a third thing.

Let something else come to mind that you can be grateful for.

Just allow it to pop up.

Don't overthink it.

And then allow yourself to fully see this thing that you're grateful for.

If it's a person,

Picture them in your mind's eye.

If it's a situation,

Allow yourself to see you there.

If it's an item,

See yourself using it.

Or if it's a feeling,

Simply allow yourself to feel it.

And feel how lucky you are that you have all these things to be grateful for.

And continue to stay connected.

To this sense of gratitude.

And I know there will be hard days.

Days when things are not going your way.

When it can be more difficult to think of even a single thing that you can be grateful for.

And I invite you,

Especially on those days,

To allow yourself to focus on gratitude.

Because when the going gets tough,

That's when you build the gratitude muscle the most.

That's when it's most effective.

Most powerful.

And what I really love,

And I'd like to add this as a little bonus to start off your day,

Is what I call future gratitude.

And that is something that has not yet happened,

But that you choose to be grateful for in advance.

So it's maybe a dream or a desire,

Or perhaps even something practical,

That you would love to come to pass today,

This week,

This month.

It could be as simple as gratitude for the parking spot,

For this meeting that you have to go to,

For having a day full of flow and ease,

For being able to get everything done,

For staying healthy,

Feeling relaxed.

Just think of something that you'd like to be grateful for in advance.

And know that you can pick another thing again tomorrow.

So don't worry if there's too much to choose from.

And then imagine that it's happening,

Or it has already happened,

And you feel the gratitude when you look back at how easy it was to park,

Or how joyful your day was,

Or how much the meeting that you had to chair was in the flow,

Or whatever it is that you picked.

Feel how grateful you are.

Feel how grateful you are for how well things turned out.

And know that the more that you use this short activation,

The more you'll become aware of the positive things in your life,

And you'll feel much better as a result.

I think you'll notice that gratitude is contagious,

Just like a smile.

The more you do it,

The more grateful you are.

Have a wonderful rest of your day.

Bye!
