In order to let go of anger we first need to understand what it is. We then have to accept that it is something we create within ourselves, and therefore it is totally within our power to remove it. Raja Yogi Yogesh Sharda empowers us to identify our unmet needs and, how when we address them, anger no longer has to be either felt or expressed.

Becoming aware of my inner world has given me knowledge and understanding.

And when one has knowledge and understanding,

With that comes also responsibility.

As I move into my spiritual journey,

My inner journey of maturity,

I want to become free from the actions,

The behaviors,

The reactions of my own self which may cause me to lose my peace and happiness.

And so holding the key of knowledge and understanding,

I choose to take responsibility.

I choose to forgive and let go of any feelings of bitterness or resentment I may be holding within myself.

To be responsible means to forgive,

To allow the mind to let go of anything that challenges my peace.

Forgiveness is a quality of the strong,

The weak cannot forgive.

When I choose to forgive,

It is the forgiver rather than the forgiven who benefits more.

And so I take responsibility not to wait for situations or circumstances to change,

But I realize I want to live a life of peace.

I want to be at peace with myself,

With others and with the world.

And so I choose to take the first step.

I choose to realize I want to move in the direction of harmony.

And so whenever any thoughts or feelings of anger come up within me,

At that very moment I choose to let go and remember it is my responsibility to continue to keep my mind in a state of peace.

It is my responsibility to share thoughts of kindness and goodness with others.

Let me not wait to react to others,

But I choose instead to act with virtue,

With goodness,

With kindness,

Knowing that when I take a step of action with goodness without needing to be prompted,

The return of that comes back to strengthen my soul.

My first and most important responsibility is to maintain my peace of mind and my goodness of heart towards others.

And if I maintain this state of mind,

Life responds to me in the best way,

Rather like ripples spreading out over a pond.

Each time I choose to have thoughts of positivity,

Each time I take the responsibility to practice virtue,

I spread that wave into my environment.

And so today,

Let me not wait to practice virtue and goodness,

But let me take responsibility to be one to radiate that positive energy around me in my life,

In my relationships.
