Welcome to your meditation.

This meditation is specifically designed for you if you're in the process of grieving the loss of a beloved animal.

Animals are such a gift.

They come into our lives and they open our hearts.

They make us better humans.

They help us heal and they show us the way.

They teach us how to receive and give unconditional love.

We're simply with their pure desire to love us and be with us.

Grieving the loss of a beloved animal comes with a certain degree of pain.

The grief you feel is the love you felt for your animal.

In this meditation,

We're going to take the time to acknowledge,

To honor,

To be grateful and to let go.

From my heart to yours,

I hope this meditation eases the pain that comes with the loss of a beloved animal.

To begin,

Make yourself very comfortable and cozy.

You may do this lying down or seated.

If you are seated,

Make sure that you are comfortable sitting in a comfortable couch and chair or a cushion,

Allowing your whole body to feel relaxed in whichever way you can manage.

If you are lying down,

Lie flat on a comfortable surface.

Let your feet be slightly wider than the hips with the arms alongside your body.

If it feels soothing and supportive for you,

You can allow your hands to cradle your heart center.

Bring your left palm right at the center of your chest with the right palm resting on top.

Just make sure that your shoulders are relaxed.

Now,

If you're doing this and the pain of your grief is intense and you find that tears are flowing,

Please soften your jaw,

Part your teeth slightly and allow whatever experience to be.

No resistance,

No holding back.

Just acknowledge how you feel and know that it's all okay.

When your posture and shape,

Whichever you have chosen to receive this in,

Feels complete and ready for you,

See if you can make yourself 5% or 10% more comfortable and cozy for this.

And when you're ready,

Sigh out the whole breath from your body.

Empty your body of breath and then to begin to take full and deep inhales.

Feel your breath,

Feel your whole heart all the way down to the belly,

Your whole torso filling up with breath as much as you can manage.

When we are grieving,

Our heart and belly area tend to contract and deep full breaths are not a default.

It's something that you have to consciously invite.

Be patient with yourself and take time.

Just connect to your breath and round by round,

Breath by breath,

Allow your inhales to soothe and smoothly open your heart,

Open your belly and just as smoothly allow your exhales to release out.

Feel free to sigh out your breath.

Sighing is a natural outlet for the body.

It is a natural outlet for your nervous system to release tension.

We'll take three more breaths like this,

Consciously inhaling deeply,

Allowing the inhale to help create some space around your heart and belly and the exhale to release out as much as possible tension contractions.

Take two more like this with your own breath,

Inhaling.

And as you complete your next exhale,

Just feel your body on the support beneath you.

Allow it to get heavier with every round as I guide you through a body relaxation.

Bring your attention to your toes.

Feel the toes release and relax.

The space between the toes,

The tips of the toes fully relaxed.

Feel the soles of your feet and the tops of your feet released and relaxed.

Your ankles fully relaxed.

Feel your shins and calves and with your exhale completely relax your shins and calves.

Feel the muscles unhug the bones and let go of their command on your body.

Release the knees and the space beneath the knees.

Release your thighs.

Feel your thigh muscles release and the bones lengthen and sigh towards the earth.

Feel your hips and your pelvis widen beneath you.

Feel your belly and your low back.

Feel the organs and the fluids that are honed within the belly and the low back.

Descent down towards your spine,

Towards the earth,

Committed to rest.

Relax your ribs,

Your lungs,

Your heart,

The back of the ribs,

Back of the lungs,

Back of the heart.

Feel your shoulder blades digging deeper into the support beneath you,

Dropping and sliding away from the ears with every exhale.

Naturally,

As you allow your body to relax.

Relax your shoulders,

Your armpits,

Your upper arms,

Your elbows,

Your forearms,

The wrists,

Palms of the hands,

Fingers,

Space between your fingers and your fingertips fully released and relaxed.

Relax your throat and the back of the neck and the sides of the neck.

Feel the whole throat and neck area spacious,

Open,

Allowing for your breath to flow freely.

If you're feeling any heaviness,

Contractions,

Or tension in your heart and throat area due to the sense of loss and pain you feel,

Allow your lips and teeth to part.

The connection between our lips and our heart is a very powerful one.

Allow this connection to feel open,

Relaxed,

And released.

Relax your cheeks and your ears,

The nose.

Allow your eyes to rest deeper into their sockets beneath the closed lids.

See if you can release all muscles around your eyes and forehead.

And let your head drop heavy on the support.

If you are seated,

Let your head rest on top of your shoulders,

Held.

And now just take one more wave of relaxation from the top of your head down through the tips of the fingers to the tips of the toes.

All you have to do is just allow and let go of your body,

Allowing your breath to guide you into your heart center.

Rest your awareness in your heart,

Just behind the breastbone.

And feel your breath in this area,

Flowing in and out.

And allow your breath to be like a loving caress to this area every round,

As if the inhale comes in like a gentle breeze,

A lullaby,

Soothing your heart,

And the exhale,

Releasing some of the density,

Some of the intense sensations that might be living in this area for you.

At this time,

Take a few of these loving breath,

Your own breath filled with healing light.

Every inhale soothing,

Caressing.

Every inhale caresses your heart like you would caress a beloved animal.

An anxious child with such compassion,

Such patience,

Such love and affection.

And we'll take three more of these.

See the exhale carry out,

If this energy is ready to flow,

To shift,

To transform,

Allow your exhales to help you do that.

Breath by breath,

Round by round,

We create some space in your heart.

Continue with your loving breath.

And with your next exhale,

Just free your breath and rest in your heart.

We now call on the archangels,

Archangel Raphael,

Archangel Ariel,

And archangel Phile,

The archangels and protectors of animals.

We call on the archangels to help us and our beloved animal in crossing over and the process.

We call on the archangels to help us provide comfort and understanding for both the animal and yourself.

See archangel Raphael in his beautiful shimmering green light.

Alongside archangel Ariel in her beautiful pale pink halo.

And archangel Phile in his brilliant golden light to send down towards you.

And now see your beloved animal and gaze into its eyes.

And see your beloved animal gaze back at you with pure unconditional love.

You can hold them,

You can hug them,

You can do your favorite thing with them.

Connect to your beloved animal from heart to heart.

And we will take the time to acknowledge,

To honor,

To be grateful,

And to let go.

Surrounded by the archangel protecting you and your animal,

Providing you with healing,

Support,

And understanding.

As they surround you and your beloved animal in this circle,

Thank your animal for the time that they have shared with you,

For the joy that they have brought into your heart,

For all the lessons and the teachings and the healing that they have offered you.

And see them gaze back at you with the same love and gratitude.

See them thank you,

Love you,

And honor you.

You can communicate with the help of the archangels.

Ask them to help you with any messages,

Any questions.

And when you are ready,

Allow yourself to say goodbye,

Knowing that you are forever connected with your beloved animal through this energy of love and gratitude.

Take your time.

If the animal is in your arms,

Hold them close to your heart,

Knowing this is a forever bond.

See archangel Ariel wrap your beloved animal in a pink halo.

See the animal protected,

Sheltered,

And forever loved.

And when you're ready,

Allow this bubble of pink light surrounding your animal into the arms of archangel Ariel as she cradles your beloved animal into her heart.

She is the protector,

The guardian of your beloved animal.

Know that he is forever,

She or he is forever sheltered,

Protected,

Free,

And loved.

See the angel smile at you with their healing energy,

Providing you with the comfort and the understanding to help you through your process as they start to ascend with your beloved animal.

See them cross over the rainbow into the light,

Into the heavens,

Carrying lovingly your beloved animal.

Thank the angels and very slowly connect back to your heart center,

Knowing that this energy is forever part of you.

Forever connects you in love and gratitude so that you may grieve the loss of your beloved animal with love,

With gratitude,

And understanding.

The grief you feel is how you loved.

Honor that.

Stay in this space for as long as you need.

And when this feels complete for you for now,

Just slowly bring the palms of your hands together.

Grab the palms of your hands until you feel the heat,

The energy from your heart into your hands and extend that to you.

Bring it back into you,

Offering yourself some love,

Some soothing.

You can place your palms on your closed lids or on the heart center once again.

And from my grieving heart to yours,

I bow with love and gratitude.

Namaste.

Thank you for helping me grieve the loss of my cat Cali who I had put to sleep last night. The hardest part is seeing her beautiful eyes and face when she looked to me for love but now I canโ€™t pick her up to hold against me to feel her purring. I know it was her time and she left quickly but my heart is just broken. I pray the archangels keep her protected and completely happy. ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
