
Yoga Nidra - Reconnecting To Source Energy
Allow yourself to relax deeply as you are guided through this Yoga Nidra (Body scan) practice. Your body will relax completely as your mind stays aware taking you deep into the theta state. Yoga Nidra allows for you a deep yogic sleep that will rejuvenate and reconnect you to your truth.

Welcome to this yoga nidra practice.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable place to lay down preferably on your back with the feet nice and wide and just allowing the ankles to flop out to the sides and just tucking those shoulder blades nice and flat underneath your back.
Face the palms up to the sky.
The arms are maybe about a foot away from your body.
As you find your Shavasana or corpse pose,
Just see if you can become even more comfortable just making any adjustments.
The yoga nidra practice requires for you to cultivate absolute stillness in your body.
I'm going to guide you through bringing your awareness to different areas of your body.
So let's begin.
Bringing your awareness to the palm of the right hand and just feel into the softness.
Softening into the fingers.
Let's begin with the pinky finger,
The ring finger,
The middle finger,
The index finger and the thumb.
And just bringing your awareness to the space between your fingers.
Bring the awareness now to the back of the right hand.
Just feeling that connection with the ground or the surface beneath you.
Softening the wrist.
Travelling your awareness up through the forearm into the outer elbow.
And just having the sense of releasing any tension.
Holding the inner elbow up into the upper arm and the top of the right shoulder.
Just release anything you're holding onto.
The whole arm,
The whole of the right arm.
Now let's bring the awareness to the sole of the right foot.
Softening the space.
The pinky toe.
The second,
The third,
The fourth.
All the toes releasing and the big toe softening.
See if you can connect with the space in between each toe.
Just noticing this empty space.
And coming into the top of the right foot.
The heel.
The ankles.
The right calf muscle melting.
Softening the back of the right knee.
Softening the hamstrings,
The back of the thigh.
And coming into the shin bone.
The right knee.
The thigh.
Coming into your right hip joint.
Just take a moment to bring the awareness to the whole of the right leg now.
All the way from the hips through the buttocks all the way down.
Let go here.
Anything else.
Now bring your awareness to the palm of the left hand.
Feel that softness.
The pinky finger.
The ring finger.
Middle finger.
Index finger and the thumb.
And the space in between.
Feeling the back of the left hand.
The connection with the ground.
The surface beneath you.
Coming into the left wrist.
And relax everything as you travel the awareness up through the forearm into your elbow.
The outer elbow and the inner elbow.
Up into the upper arm.
The top of the left shoulder.
Feeling into the whole of the left arm.
Let go of anything else you're holding onto.
Just release it now.
And just having this sense that the whole of the left arm is melting into the ground.
And then now let's bring that awareness down into the soul of the left foot.
Softening all the toes.
Maybe you feel some sensations releasing.
The space in between the toes.
Moving now into the top of the left foot.
Softening the heel.
The ankle.
Calf muscle.
Back of the knee.
Back of the thigh.
The left buttock.
The left shin.
Knee.
Top of thigh.
And up into your hip.
Now just feel the whole of the left leg.
Let's feel now the left arm and the left leg together.
All your awareness drifts here.
It's almost like the rest of your body has disappeared.
Now move the awareness to the right side,
The right arm,
The right leg.
The left side disappears.
Feeling all the sensations.
Releasing that now,
Let's bring our awareness into the lower belly.
Maybe the reproductive organs.
The space underneath the navel,
Softening.
Coming up into the ribs.
The lower ribs.
Just observing as you breathe the expansion and the contraction.
And up we travel into the chest and the upper ribs.
Still moving gently with your breath.
The shoulders and the collarbone.
All releasing.
Now coming to the lower back.
Traveling up the spine,
Softening all the muscles as you go.
Through the middle back,
The upper back.
And the shoulder blades melting into the ground.
Continue upwards through your body.
Now into the back of your neck.
The back of the head.
Now all your awareness at the crown of the head.
Maybe just pause here,
Feeling the weight of your head.
Your whole body releases.
Softening into the brow,
The forehead,
The temples,
The ears,
Cheekbones.
And your jaw releasing,
Unclenching.
Softening into the space of your mouth.
Soft tongue.
And teeth.
Coming out of the mouth now.
Feel into the nostrils.
Just connecting with this cool air as you breathe in.
And warm air as you breathe out.
Maybe you can notice if you are breathing more dominantly in the left side or the right side.
Soften the space underneath your eyes.
The eyeballs rolling back and in to the sockets.
Bringing your awareness to the third eye centre,
The space between your eyebrows.
And as you now keep focusing your awareness in this space,
Feel as though your entire body has melted away.
And all that is left of you is pure conscious awareness.
Do you see how bright a light you are?
When the attention tries to drift away,
Just bring it gently back to this space,
The third eye,
The centre of your forehead.
And maybe you can feel some sensations there.
Maybe you are experiencing some visions.
And now let's go on a little journey.
We are going to leave your body behind.
It's safe,
Relaxed and warm.
Recharging.
Connecting to Gaia.
While this is happening,
Just observe the absolute stillness you hold in your body.
Even though you are still,
Your body lays upon the earth.
It is moving through space at great speed.
A speed that is unfathomable for us.
Let's go and visit that space.
So your awareness comes out of your body.
Focus just above the crown of the head.
Just hovering here.
Hovering.
And maybe you can come to the ceiling of the space that you occupy and just look down at yourself,
Your body laying peacefully.
So beautiful.
So bright.
Of the earth.
Continue to travel upwards.
Maybe coming to the roof of the building.
And up and up you go.
Observing now the town or the village.
Continue to zoom out.
Seeing the bigger province,
The state,
County.
And now the whole country on which your body lays.
We keep going.
We keep going.
Maybe you're in the northern hemisphere or the southern hemisphere of the world.
The whole earth.
And now are you in the east,
The eastern world or the western land?
Just observing as you continue to travel your awareness up and up through the atmosphere into space.
And there you are as you see the beauty of Gaia as she gracefully spins and travels through the universe.
Your home.
Now let's go even further.
Continue upwards,
Upwards through all the space,
The planets.
Until you reach source.
Where all of it stems the truth of your being.
Magnificent,
Vast,
Brilliant light.
You can just feel this love all around you emanating from your source.
You.
Gently now.
Slowly as you like.
Bring your awareness or call your awareness back to your body.
Back to earth.
Back to the space.
Where you occupy where your body lays.
Coming back to your body.
Take a few deep breaths into your abdomen.
Barely breathing.
Invite that new fresh energy.
Cleansed.
Reconnected to source.
Your body deeply rested.
Relaxed.
And re-energised.
Maybe start to bring some movement into the fingers.
Just soft subtle movements into the toes.
As you slowly feel into your body again.
Maybe you have the urge to stretch up over your head.
Stretch through the heels,
The toes.
Taking a few deep breaths.
Start to blink the eyes open.
Coming back to the room.
