Welcome to today's short meditation on interrupting unworthiness.
In this practice,
We're going to use music as a metaphor to help us recognize our own self-worth as we interrupt unworthiness and recognize our inherent value,
Not superior to others,
But not inferior to anyone either.
So let's begin.
Start by releasing any tension in your body as you allow yourself to relax.
And close your eyes.
Try to let go of whatever's come before this moment and anything that's coming after as you gently ease into being here and now.
Let's take one deep breath in.
Inhale and exhale.
I'd like you to start by imagining that you've arrived in the audience to listen to a symphony orchestra.
Imagine hearing a few notes from some of the musicians playing different instruments,
A clarinet,
A flute,
A trumpet,
A French horn,
A violin,
A drum,
And then the conductor comes out onto the stage and starts the performance.
The music is beautiful.
Everyone's playing in tune,
In time,
And harmoniously with each other.
Together they're able to create something magical that comes from each of them working as a unified whole.
And yet each musician is completely different,
And the sound of the instruments is so varied.
Now imagine that you're one of these musicians on stage.
Feel what it's like to be part of something beautiful.
Imagine the confidence of knowing that not only do you belong,
That you're important,
That your voice or your instrument,
Your sound,
You matter.
Each of the musicians has so much to contribute,
Just as each one of us has our own uniqueness and value that we bring to life around us.
Your worth is never in question.
You don't have to do anything or say anything or try to become something you're not in order to be any more valuable.
Self-worth isn't earned,
It's just recognized.
You can recognize your inherent value the more you let go of outdated expectations,
The more you embrace who you really are,
As you are right now.
And every moment is a fresh starting point.
You get to decide right now to remember your value.
Not because of what you've done,
Or who you've become,
Or who you haven't become.
Your value is deeper than how other people judge you or how we judge ourselves.
Not only are you like one of the musicians in a symphony,
But you're also the symphony,
The performance,
The music,
All of it.
Now I invite you to say a few affirmations with me silently or aloud.
Number one,
I deserve kindness,
Especially from myself.
Number two,
I don't need to do anything to earn my self-worth.
Number three,
I matter simply because I exist.
Number four,
I let go of criticism and self-doubt.
And five,
I reclaim my value now.
Let's take one last deep breath in,
Really tapping into our inherent value,
Not superior to anyone else,
But not inferior either.
Inhale and exhale.
Thank you so much for taking the time to be here today.
I'm Ilya Grace,
And until next time,
Trust in your practice and in your own inner guidance,
And allow the universe to work its magic.
