This is a meditation that is shared especially for young children,
But it also can be enjoyed by folks of all ages.
It is designed to bring relaxation,
Groundedness,
And centeredness to our bodies using the acupressure points that are located right above the shoulder blades.
So here we go.
We want to have a seat and with our right hand,
We want to put our right hand across our chest and let our fingers just reach behind the tops of our backs.
The tops of our shoulders touching the tops of our back.
Then we bring our left hand across our right arm and we place those fingers on the tops of our backs behind the tops of our shoulders.
We begin to tap one side at a time.
Right.
Left.
Right.
Left.
Right.
Left.
Right.
Left.
Right.
Left.
Right.
Left.
With both fingers close to the top of the head,
We are getting a little bit of tension up here.
Left,
Right,
Left,
Right,
Left,
Right,
Left,
Right,
Left,
Right,
Left.
And as we're tapping,
We can add some affirmations that will go deeply into our subconscious as we are bringing a deep relaxation and groundedness to our bodies.
I am lovable and I am worthwhile.
I can sit and I can be.
I know what to do with my hands and my feet.
I love life and life loves me.
I can listen and I can respond.
Left,
Right,
Tap,
Tap,
Left,
Right,
Tap,
Tap,
Left,
Right,
Tap,
Tap.
This is a great practice when we are inviting children to take a time out and reflect on the behavior or just take a time out and relax.
It is a great practice for teenagers who are nervous and anxious about upcoming exam or sports events or dates or who are going through emotional disappointments,
Upheavals,
Friendships and relationship issues.
It's a great practice for adults who want to feel calmer,
More peace,
More centered and more grounded.
Tapping on these acupressure points located above the shoulder blades for at least two minutes and as long as possible will bring immediate results.
And when affirmations are added,
They are tapped into our subconscious and begin to create new beliefs about ourselves and our lives.
I hope that you will take the time to experience the blessings of butterfly tapping.
Thank you.
