Hello my name is Ian Tucker and welcome to a simple meditation to remind you of all that you have in life.

Sitting or lying comfortably within a quiet space,

Close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing.

Your breathing should be deep but relaxed and controlled.

For this meditation I would like you to consider using the Your Simple Path image.

Before you begin the meditation,

Take a moment to picture the person or situation that you would like to give thanks for.

As you take a few deep breaths,

Close your eyes and allow yourself a smile as you think about them.

How grateful you feel that this person is or has been a part of your life.

When you hear the single relaxing tone,

I would like you to visualise yourself at the start of your Simple Path.

Concentrate on your breathing.

As you stand at the beginning of your Simple Path,

Notice how comfortable you feel,

How calm everything is.

You already know that only good can come from you being here.

Concentrate on your breathing.

Your red heart appears and floats gently in front of you.

On the heart,

In your handwriting,

Are the words thank you.

Focus on your heart.

Focus on the words.

Now you can feel a gentle,

Warm breeze.

You can feel it on your back,

On your hair,

On your skin.

This indicates that it is time to follow your heart as it slowly moves along the path.

Follow your heart.

Focus on your heart.

With each step,

Follow your heart.

Concentrate on your breathing.

In the distance,

And a little further along your path,

You can see the person who you would like to give thanks to,

To show gratitude for,

To simply say thank you.

As you step closer,

Notice how grateful they seem,

Even a little surprised that they have had such a positive effect on your life,

How peaceful everything is.

There is a knowing that this is the perfect time to give thanks.

Concentrate on your breathing.

Now visualize yourself standing facing the person as the heart floats between you.

Focus on your heart with the words thank you in your handwriting upon it.

Reach out and take hold of it with both hands.

Now,

With a deep sense of appreciation,

Smile and give your heart to the person in front of you as you say to them thank you.

As they take the heart from you,

Say to them again thank you.

Now simply observe as they place your heart against theirs and watch it as it becomes one with them.

Say to them one final time thank you.

Look at the amazing effect your simple act of gratitude has had upon them,

Knowing how grateful you are has changed their life.

Gratitude meets gratitude.

Concentrate on your breathing,

Deep but relaxed.

The other person gently dissolves from the scene.

Watch their radiant smile as it disappears and you are now alone.

Rest a while and as you look to the distance,

Enjoy the serenity and peace you feel here.

It is now time for you to leave your simple path in the knowledge that you can return at any time and that only good can come from you being here.

And now,

When you hear the single relaxing tone,

Open your eyes.
