Welcome to this guided meditation for cultivating self-trust.

I'll invite you to begin by finding a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down.

And as you settle in,

Just know that there's no need to clear your mind completely.

Thoughts may come and go,

And that's perfectly okay.

Our goal is simply to create a calm space where we can connect with our inner wisdom.

So just take your time to get comfortable and cozy.

Take a moment to adjust your posture.

Allow your shoulders to relax.

Unclench your jaw.

And just allow your hands to rest comfortably.

Now gently close your eyes,

If that feels right for you,

Or just softly gaze at a spot in front of you.

Let's begin by focusing on our breath.

Empty the breath.

And take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through your nose,

Filling your lungs completely,

Holding it at the top.

And slowly release through your mouth.

Good.

A couple more times just like that.

Deep breath in through the nose,

Breathe it all the way in.

Hold it for just a moment at the top,

And then slowly exhale through your mouth.

And one more time,

Deep breath all the way in.

Hold,

Hold,

Hold.

And slowly let it go.

Continuing to breathe deeply and mindfully.

Just feel any tension,

Inviting any tension to melt away with each breath out.

As you continue to breathe slowly and mindfully,

I'll invite you to bring your awareness,

Bring your energy and your attention to where your body makes contact with the surface beneath you.

Allow yourself to sink into that support,

Noticing the weight of your body,

The way it feels supported.

Letting yourself feel heavy as you soften into the support beneath you.

Releasing all efforting,

All need-to-be-doing.

Just letting go.

And as you continue to breathe slowly and mindfully,

You might imagine roots growing from the base of your spine.

Envision them growing deep down into the earth,

Deeper and deeper,

Down,

Down,

Grounding you firmly in this moment.

Feeling safe and supported,

Trusting the support of the earth to hold you.

And as you continue to breathe deeply and naturally,

With each breath in,

You're drawing in calm and clarity.

With each breath out,

You're releasing anything that doesn't serve you.

And as you settle into this space,

I'll invite you to imagine a warm,

Golden light right at the center of your chest.

This light represents your inner wisdom,

Your intuition.

And as you breathe,

See and feel this light growing stronger and brighter.

Feel its warmth,

Its energy spreading throughout your body,

From your chest to your fingertips,

Down to your toes,

All the way up to the crown of your head.

Bathing in this warm,

Golden light,

Your inner wisdom,

Your intuition.

And as you bask in this golden light,

Let's repeat these affirmations.

So I'll say them,

And you might choose to repeat them either silently or aloud.

I trust my inner wisdom.

My intuition guides me well.

I have the power to make decisions that are right for me.

I'm worthy of my own trust and respect.

My experiences have given me valuable insights.

I listen to my body and honor its messages.

I am capable of creating positive change in my life.

I trust the timing of my life's journey.

So let's repeat these affirmations two more times through,

Just allowing and inviting them to sink deeper into your being with each repetition.

I trust my inner wisdom.

My intuition guides me well.

I have the power to make decisions that are right for me.

I'm worthy of my own trust and respect.

I'm worthy of my own trust and respect.

My experiences have given me valuable insights.

I listen to my body and honor its messages.

I'm capable of creating positive change in my life.

I trust the timing of my life's journey.

Good.

Connecting again to the rhythm of your breath.

Tuning your awareness inward.

Noticing without judgment how you feel in this moment.

Noticing without judgment how you feel in this moment.

Knowing that you can trust your intuition,

Your inner wisdom to guide you as you learn to connect with it more.

You might begin to bring some gentle energy,

Some gentle movement back into your body.

Maybe wiggling the fingers and the toes.

An invitation to begin to deepen your breath.

Inhaling into the nose.

Feeling that gentle space at the top and exhaling,

Letting go of anything you don't need right now.

Good.

Take another long,

Deep breath all the way in.

Breathing in that deep connection to your inner wisdom.

Holding that space at the top and then exhaling,

Letting go of anything you don't need.

Good.

As you slowly and mindfully bring your awareness back to your surroundings,

Carry the sense of self-trust with you as you move throughout your day.

If your eyes are closed,

When you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes knowing that you can return to this place of deep self-trust whenever you need.
