We get to live this life in a beautiful way, but for that we need to feel safe in our bodies, at home in ourselves. And so this trauma-sensitive somatic healing practice is an invitation to deepen into safety, in micro-moments, little pauses, through gentle softening. Each breath is a quiet return, allowing your nervous system to find a deeper level of ease. We get to come home to ourselves.

This practice is an invitation to deepen into safety.

In micro-moments,

Little pauses,

Gentle softening,

Each breath a quiet return.

And so starting by finding a position that feels steady.

You can lie down or sit with your back supported.

Letting your arms rest in any way that feels unguarded.

Allowing your jaw to move gently from side to side.

Relaxing any tension.

Letting your body know that it doesn't need to hold right now.

And closing your eyes if that feels okay to you.

Or simply allowing your gaze to be low.

Unfocused.

And then gently bringing your awareness to where your body feels supported.

The floor.

The surface beneath you.

And as you do,

Can you allow yourself to trust in it a little more?

Letting go.

Allowing yourself to be held.

Inhaling gently.

And exhaling slowly.

Feeling your system responding.

Letting go.

And slowing down even just a little more.

And now noticing one part of your body that feels neutral or okay.

Might be your feet.

Your hands.

The tip of your nose.

Lightly bringing your attention there.

Breathing into that space.

Inhaling slowly.

Exhaling that sweet release.

Continuing to expand that space.

Your body doesn't need to leap into peace.

It just needs one soft place.

One breath.

To start experiencing greater ease.

And now placing a hand on your chest or abdomen.

Feeling the contact.

The pressure.

The warmth beneath your palm.

The steady rhythm underneath.

That safety too.

Your body knowing you're here.

Your own presence felt.

As you show up for yourself.

Gently.

In real time.

And if the mind starts scanning or doubting.

Simply thank it for trying to protect you.

And gently return to the breath.

Innocently favoring the breath.

Back to this moment.

Back to your body.

With each long exhale.

Letting your body settle a little more.

And maybe quietly within yourself.

Speaking some words that feel true.

Something like.

It's safe to breathe.

And deeply held right here.

Letting them accompany your breath.

Inhaling slow and steady.

Exhaling just letting go.

Anchored right here.

And taking a few more breaths like this.

Each one a micro-moment of nervous system repair.

Inhaling slow and steady.

Exhaling letting go.

Letting it land softly.

As you deepen into that stillness that's right here.

And taking as much time as you want or need in this space.

Only when you're ready starting to move gently.

Opening your eyes.

And slowly returning to this space.

You don't need to leap back into life.

You can return in micro-movements.

Just as how you're ready to go.

You returned to yourself.
