Lie down in the most comfortable position you can find.
If it helps,
You can place a pillow under your knees or even curl onto your side.
Cover yourself with something warm and comforting and let your eyes close.
Your body is doing deep work right now.
It's work that requires energy and that asks for you to rest.
You don't need to push through this.
You don't need to be productive or to achieve anything now.
In this moment,
The most important thing you can do is rest.
Take a moment to set an intention for your practice.
It can be something as simple as,
I am allowed to rest.
I am allowed to feel supported.
Whatever comes to mind,
Silently repeat it to yourself three times.
Like you're planting a seed of intention into deep dark soil.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Not to change it.
Just notice it moving in and out of the body.
Now imagine a warm drop of honey landing on the center of your womb.
Notice how it nourishes you from deep within.
Warm,
Soothing,
Comforting.
Now feel this gentle heat begin to spread out into your hips.
Feel them softening and loosening down into your thighs,
Your knees,
Your feet.
Your entire lower body is wrapped in this gentle warmth.
The warmth rises now,
Up through your belly,
Your ribs,
Your chest,
Your heart feels warm,
Open,
And soft.
Feel this warmth moving through the lower back,
The middle of the back,
The upper back,
Into your shoulders,
Down your arms,
And into the hands.
The warmth rises up into your throat,
Your face,
The crown of your head.
Your whole body is bathed in warmth.
We'll rest here for a little while.
Now drop your awareness into the center of the pelvic bowl.
Sense it as a deep crimson rose.
The petals are thick and velvet,
And it's okay to let go.
It's okay to let them fall.
The shedding is an ancient rhythm.
With every petal that drops,
The body becomes lighter.
The earth beneath you is drinking in the rain.
The earth is a warm hand holding you from below.
You are not the rose.
You're the garden that holds the rose.
The garden is powerful.
The garden is still.
The garden is at peace.
Your body knows what it's doing.
This cycle is ancient,
Rhythmic,
Natural.
The moon pulls the tides.
You move in your own rhythm with it,
And you are sinking into the honeyed warmth of the body.
The mind is a distant echo.
The body is a quiet sea,
And you rest in the stillness at the center of it all.
Let's rest here for a little while.
Stay here for as long as you need to.
Maybe you drift into a tranquil rest,
Or maybe you begin the different part of your day.
Either way,
Keep this with you,
That you're wrapped in warmth and held by the earth.
Earth for this cycle.
Sending you all the love.
