Erin Nelson | House of Healing

Erin Nelson is a shamanic practitioner, yoga & meditation teacher & guide for women navigating major life transitions. Based in Ostuni, Italy, she created House of Healing as a sanctuary for women who feel disconnected from their bodies, their instincts & themselves. Erin's journey into healing work began with her own breaking open. After years of running from childhood trauma through disconnection & self-destruction, she discovered yoga & shamanic healing. These practices didn't just help her understand her patterns intellectually; they helped her release them from her body & energy field. She learned to come home to herself, to trust her body's wisdom again & to stop abandoning herself. Now, Erin guides other women through similar initiations. Her work is for the woman whose life looks successful on the outside but feels empty inside. The one going through divorce, grief or burnout who knows she needs something deeper than therapy. The woman who's tired of thinking her way through everything & ready to feel her way home. Through shamanic energy medicine, yoga & spiritual guidance, Erin helps women reconnect with their bodies, work through what's holding them back & remember their power. Her meditations on Insight Timer offer invitations to drop out of the mind & back into the body, to pause, to feel & to come home. Erin offers 1:1 personalized healing retreats in Italy & a 12-week online journey for women ready to go deep & initiate themselves into a new way of being.

Good thoughts, gently expressed, good voice and pacing. Although I didn't fall back to sleep, I think it's always good to be reminded that being awake at night doesn't mean anything is wrong, and doesn't mean we've done anything wrong... because the mind habitually goes to those places so very easily! I was curious about the direction to breathe in halfway and then pause, and then breathe more, as whikel I've certainly experienced doing that, I've never before heard anybody try to encourage it. Is it a more organic or alternative way of achieving the same thing that others do when they tell you to breathe in completely and then hold it for several seconds before exhaling? Because I've sometimes reassured myself, when I've done it your way, that it achieves the same thing, and that I haven't done anything wrong, or failed.

Such a beautiful start of the morning! Grounding and softly energising, it gently wakens me and sets the tone for the day.
