Welcome.

This is a guided meditation.

Your breath is the energy creating the universe at all levels.

Physical,

Mental,

Intellectual and cosmic.

Now let's begin a simple breath awareness practice.

We'll begin with your posture.

So whether you're sitting or lying down,

Come to a place of ease and stability.

Relaxing your body,

Shoulders,

Your spine,

Facing facial muscles,

Your tongue resting on the roof of your mouth.

Relaxing the inner ears,

Space behind your eyes.

You'll now begin to bring attention to your natural breath.

Just noticing the inhale and exhale.

Of course you may close your eyes right now or just maintain a soft front of view.

And as you're noticing your inhale and exhale,

Notice the length of your inhale.

Knowing that you can change the state of your emotions and mind by controlling your breath.

This is the practice of pranayama.

Your next time you're inhaling,

Notice if you can exhale a little longer.

The longer inhales help activate your rest and digest system,

Also known as the parasympathetic system.

Inhaling from your belly,

Slow and easy.

And a long exhale.

Your hands to your belly.

And as you inhale,

Feel your hands pushing out.

And as you exhale,

Feel your belly moving towards the spine.

And you'll continue again.

Inhale,

Expanding your belly.

A tall place of relaxation.

This is how breath awareness at your own pace can come to a place of ease.
