Hello,

My name is Hilary Lafon and I am so grateful that you have joined me today to explore Weekly Affirmations Building Self-Esteem and Self-Worth.

We have all felt ourselves unworthy at times.

However when we think these plots often they become a pattern that can be destructive and counterproductive.

I encourage you to repeat these statements in your mind to help break the self-doubt cycle.

But first,

Let's breathe.

Relax the body so our mind will follow.

Closing your eyes.

Sitting upright in your chair.

Feet flat on the ground.

Hands are on your lap or on your sides.

Feel yourself arrive to the present moment.

Allowing your breath to be your guide.

If your mind wanders during this time,

Follow the breath going in through the nose and follow it out going through the nose or the mouth.

Let's practice this together.

Three deep breaths,

Exhaling all your breath out.

Inhaling deeply and completely for the count of four,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And exhale through the nose or the mouth for six,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight,

Six.

Two more times.

Inhale through the nose and exhale through the nose or the mouth.

One more time.

Inhale and exhale.

Exhale.

Scan your body for any tension,

Noticing if there's any sensation in the face,

The jaw,

The neck,

Shoulders,

Chest,

Stomach,

Your back,

Your seat,

Your legs,

Your feet,

And finally your hands.

And with this quick scan,

If you found anything uncomfortable,

To see if you can allow yourself to soften and allow an openness to fill that area.

Letting the tension go with the breath.

Settling in.

In your mind,

Repeat these statements.

There are no blocks I cannot overcome.

There are no blocks I cannot overcome.

I love myself more and more every day.

I love myself more and more every day.

I am worthy of love and happiness.

I am worthy of love and happiness.

I am a special person.

There is no one else like me.

I am a special person.

There is no one else like me.

I deserve to be paid well for my skills.

I deserve to be paid well for my skills.

I am compassionate with others and myself.

I am compassionate with others and myself.

I am a positive being aware of my great potential.

I am a positive being aware of my great potential.

People value my work,

My time,

And my love.

People value my work,

My time,

And my love.

Nothing can stop me from achieving my dreams.

Nothing can stop me from achieving my dreams.

My voice is important.

People want to hear my thoughts and opinions.

My voice is important.

People want to hear my thoughts and opinions.

If your mind has wandered,

Come back to the breath.

Allow these words to cell in and permeate every cell of your body.

Notice if any tension has creeped in around the eyes,

The back of the neck,

Shoulders,

Or hands.

If you wear it all,

Just allow yourself the opportunity to become one percent more comfortable and relaxed for these final moments.

Before we go,

Visualize a time in your life where you felt confident,

You knew your self-worth,

Your self-esteem was at a high.

Notice how you feel in your body when you remember this time.

Allow yourself a gentle smile to cross your mouth.

Feel yourself soften with kindness for yourself,

Knowing that you can change anything in your world,

In your life,

Just by changing how you think and what you say to yourself.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Allow a moment to take in your space around you.

Take a few deep breaths.

Notice how you feel now compared to when you started.

Thank yourself for spending just a few moments.
