Allow this quick morning meditation to help welcome positive energy and experiences into our lives. Take a moment to stay present and allow the negative issues or worries in our lives to be released. How we start the morning sets the tone for our entire day. The Positive Energy practice focuses on mindful breathing, relaxing the body, and listening to our heart.

Good morning.

Thank you for joining me for today's morning meditation.

Our topic today is positive energy.

So wherever this meditation finds you,

Give yourself a moment to become really comfortable.

Either sitting upright in your seat,

Feet flat on the floor,

Palms at your side,

Eyes closed,

Or lying down enjoying the last few moments before you plant your feet on the floor and start your day.

Either way,

Pick a position that is comfortable and easy for you to relax and settle in.

With your eyes closed,

Breathing naturally and normally for yourself.

Although the idea of positive energy might sound trite or cliché,

There really is a lot to it.

We live our world and our lives doing so much in the day that we can forget that we have the ability to create the lives we want by the thoughts that we think and what we put out into the world.

So I encourage you to see the words and the thought of positive energy in a new light maybe through the eyes of a child and be open to see what comes to you.

So let's begin today taking three of the deepest breaths you've taken all morning.

So we'll go ahead and exhale all our breath out and together we'll inhale for the count of four.

Inhaling two,

Three,

Four and exhaling for five,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Two more times inhale deeply through the nose,

Feeling your chest rise and your stomach expand,

Sipping in the oxygen and then exhaling completely just slightly longer than the inhale,

Allowing your body to further relax and settle in.

One more time together inhale deeply through the nose,

Feeling a sense of peace come over you,

Feeling energy that's positive come in through your nostrils and then exhale everything out and allow that positive energy to go out into the world as well.

Breathing naturally and normally for yourself,

Noticing if you already feel a little bit more relaxed,

Present.

If your mind is still wandering let's take a moment to systematically go through the body just noticing tiny little details and sensations.

So as you inhale and exhale notice any sensation you feel around the eyes,

The cheeks,

The mouth and the jaw,

Allowing your face to be soft,

All the muscles to smooth out.

Noticing if you brought anything negative from your dream state or the night before or something that happened yesterday,

Notice if that is gnawing at you and allow it to go,

Let it go.

Breathing settling,

Noticing if there's any tension in the back of the head,

The neck or the shoulders and allow your next breath to wash over you with the wave of relaxation.

Maybe this next breath you visualize white light coming into your body,

Washing through you,

Filling yourself up with newness,

Joy,

Hope,

Positive thoughts,

Exhaling everything out that does not serve you and letting your body soften and settle in just a little bit more.

Notice if there's any tension or tightness in the throat,

Words unsaid,

Thoughts unspoken.

Let this next breath wash through you and as you exhale let it all go.

Think the thoughts,

Let them go.

Allow your next breath to invite positive energy and positive thoughts,

Knowing that you create your day.

You have the power.

Softening and settling,

Noticing any tension in your hands or feet.

Invite relaxation in,

Invite cool light and energy.

Noticing any tension in your chest or stomach,

Feeling any vibration,

Anything subtle.

Maybe you can even feel your heart beat and allow a smile to come on your face as you feel life move through you.

Knowing that you can have a positive day,

Whatever happened yesterday is in the past,

Whatever is yet to happen is not yet here.

Stay present,

Hopeful,

Positive.

Allow your whole body to soften with your next breath and again visualize a white light with each inhale,

Gently cleansing out yesterday's pain,

Stress,

Struggle.

And as you exhale letting that energy out into the world for it to be used in other ways.

Inhaling positive energy and at the same time exhaling the energy that does not serve you but also allowing that positive energy to flow through you.

Breathing,

Settling.

Visualize one thing in your life that is positive and brings you joy.

See it in its complexity.

Maybe it's a new puppy or kitten,

A new child.

Maybe you saw the sunrise or a sunset.

Maybe it's your cup of coffee that you're looking forward to.

Smell it,

Visualize it,

Feel it in all of your cells.

Breathing,

Settling.

Now with your heart open,

Set your intention for the day.

What can you do to call upon positive energy or to allow positivity into your life?

How would you like to see your day in a more positive light?

If you're going to work and have a presentation,

Visualize your success.

And if you're not sure what to think about to visualize your positive day,

Just think about a smile,

A smile at the creases of your eyes,

Your lips,

Your cheeks lifted.

Feel a smile in your heart,

In your hands,

In your belly.

Maybe even visualize a smile up in a blue sky.

And when you go outside today,

See if you can find that smile in the clouds as you look up,

Hopeful for the new day.

Bring your awareness back to your body and back to your breath.

Let's take one deep breath together to end our time.

Exhaling all our breath out,

Inhaling deeply,

This time for five.

Inhale,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

And exhale for six,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Breathing naturally and deeply.

Remembering your intention,

Feeling it in your heart.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Remembering that smile throughout the whole day.

And just like a child,

Seeing where it finds you.

Maybe you see the smile in a friend,

A loved one,

An animal,

A tree,

A chair,

Your cup of coffee.
