Welcome to your meditation practice.
This meditation is intended to connect you to a grounded sense of steadiness in body and mind.
This practice can be done first thing in the morning to start your day with presence and clarity.
Or you could practice before bed to settle down and settle in.
You could also explore this meditation after any kind of energy work or any time you feel a little disconnected,
Scattered,
Or ungrounded.
Begin by finding a comfortable position.
You can choose any position that you like.
You can practice from seated.
You can practice from lying down on your back or even on your front.
You could even practice from standing.
Once you find your comfortable position,
Take three deep,
Slow breaths,
Each breath supporting you in arriving in your body,
Present and connected.
Notice the quality of your energy in this moment,
Observing if you feel an excess of energy.
This could feel like excitement or even anxiety.
Notice if you feel a sense of low energy,
Heaviness,
And dullness.
Perhaps a sense of being energetically depleted.
You might sense the presence of energy solely in your body.
Or you might become attuned to the quality of mental energy present.
Perhaps a racing mind or an unfocused,
Foggy mind.
Tune in and just be aware of what is.
Now begin to feel into the very center of your body,
Not on the outside,
But on the inside.
And once you have a sense of this inner space,
See or imagine a tiny green point of light or perhaps a small green orb glowing brightly here.
Start to visualize a tiny green tendril growing down from this point of light,
Down through the central channel of your body.
Feeling this tendril extending down through the soles of your feet,
Dropping its roots deep into the earth.
Feel these roots growing stronger and deeper,
Spreading out,
Spiraling down through the dense,
Rich earth.
With every passing moment,
Feel a sense of steadiness and stability increasing.
Feeling that you are rooted,
Connected to the earth.
Your awareness fully attuned to the energy of the earth.
Now that you have this connection,
Depending on how you feel,
Either begin to send your excess energy down to be received and absorbed by the earth with every out-breath,
Or begin to draw the earth's energy up into your body with every in-breath.
Continue this for as long as you like,
Either releasing your excess energy,
Letting it be received and absorbed by the earth,
Or welcoming in the energy of the earth,
Drawing in that nourishment,
That vitality.
Continue until you feel centered,
Grounded,
And clear,
Mentally,
Energetically,
And physically.
Whenever you feel ready to complete your grounding practice,
Begin to breathe with full presence,
Consciously,
Deeply.
And begin to introduce gentle,
Subtle movements,
Noticing anything that has shifted and returning to the activities of your day or evening,
Carrying with you the sense of balanced earth and your way into your deepVoice naturally.
