So thank you for joining me and let's go ahead and create your own private sanctuary which I hope you enjoy.
So first of all let's find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down it doesn't matter and allow your body to settle in.
Let your hands rest easily,
Your shoulders soften and your eyes gently closed if that feels right for you.
And now bring your attention to your breath.
Take a slow deep breath in through your nose,
Hold for a moment and then exhale gently through your mouth.
Again breathe in slowly feeling your lungs expand.
Pause and then breathe out letting go of any tension that you're holding.
Now notice your shoulders softening even more as you exhale.
Let's do that once more.
Inhale deeply through your nose,
Hold and exhale fully allowing your body to become heavier more grounded,
More at ease.
Now let your breathing return to a natural rhythm.
And as you continue to breathe gently imagine each breath drawing you inward.
Inward towards a quieter calmer place inside yourself.
With each breath allow your mind to slow down.
With each exhale imagine releasing thoughts.
Just letting them drift away like leaves on a gentle stream.
There's nowhere else you need to be.
Nothing else you need to do.
Just breathing.
Just being.
Just being and arriving fully in this moment.
And now as your body continues to relax and your mind becomes still you can begin to let yourself drift into a very special place.
And so when you feel ready allow your mind to drift,
Drift into a very special place.
One that brings with it a deep sense of peace,
Tranquility,
Safety and happiness.
And it might be somewhere you've visited before or it may be a place you're discovering for the very first time.
Simply allow this place to come into your awareness naturally whenever you're ready.
As you find yourself there give yourself permission to fully experience the calming sensations of contentment and serenity that this place offers.
You may prefer to simply sit and relax,
Quietly observing everything around you.
Or you may feel an urge to wander and explore this beautiful space.
I don't know exactly what will capture your attention the most.
Perhaps the soothing sounds,
The visual beauty,
The feel of the surroundings as you touch them or even the pleasant and unexpected aromas in the air.
And perhaps you've already begun to notice that just by being in this place you are soaking up those gentle tranquil feelings.
You can let this deep sense of calm and peace spread throughout your whole being,
Touching every part of you.
With each passing moment,
These comforting sensations become more familiar and more deeply a part of you.
The more time you spend here,
The more uplifted and renewed you may feel.
This experience may even bring to mind other moments or places where you felt deeply happy,
Safe and at ease.
And as you rest and recharge in this sanctuary of yours,
Things can start to fall into perspective.
You may begin to connect with your true feelings,
Clearly and without distortion.
You may feel free from the influence of outside stress or mood.
In this space of serenity and clarity,
You may find that you begin to receive exactly what you need right now.
And your mind knows what that is,
Even if you're not yet aware of it.
You might experience this as a fresh insight,
A shift in feeling or even a new perspective that gently settles into your awareness.
And your mind will offer you a meaningful gift,
A message or a feeling.
Something that brings you understanding,
Healing or strength.
It may come as a quiet inner voice,
Perhaps even your own voice from within,
Saying just what you need to hear at this time.
Soon I'll stop speaking and you can stay here in this special place for as long as you wish.
Allow yourself to absorb everything you need to feel nourished,
Renewed and at peace.
This experience will become a part of you,
Something that you can return to whenever you need comfort,
Rest or clarity.
When you're ready to return,
You can gently drift back through space and time,
Bringing these feelings of calm and perspective with you.
May you feel refreshed,
Alert and clear-headed.
And what you've experienced remains with you,
Continuing to support and strengthen you.
Now,
As I stop speaking,
You may remain in this peaceful place for as long as you'd like.
Resting,
Receiving and renewing,
Knowing that this sanctuary is always available to you whenever you need it most.
