So take a moment now and close your eyes and check in with yourself,

Scanning your body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes,

All the way up and all the way down,

Just checking in with how your body feels right now and allowing your whole body to relax as you do so.

And I would like you to keep your eyes closed now and just keep listening to the sound of my voice.

So I'd like you now to take a deep breath,

Breathing in either through your nose or mouth,

It really doesn't matter,

Holding for a moment and then breathing out and letting go.

And just be aware that each breath is nourishing you,

It's soothing you,

Every nerve,

Every fibre of your being is beginning now to relax because the air is soothing your body,

Soothing your mind.

With each breath out,

You let go of tension,

Each breath out,

Tension is fading away.

This is your time,

Nobody needing anything,

No one demanding anything,

No one expecting anything,

Your time as you relax there and on the next breath in,

I'd like you to notice the gentle flow of the air as it travels over the back of your throat,

Perhaps feeling a warmth or a coolness as it moves over the throat and travels down into the body.

Notice the rising and falling of your chest as you breathe in relaxation and you breathe out tension,

Each breath soothing you,

Each breath taking you one step closer to deeper comfort.

Notice the feelings in your feet and toes as they rest there.

You can perhaps remember the feeling of taking off a pair of shoes you've had on for a long time and you feel the comfort beginning to move in as the tension moves out,

A release of tension causing a heavy feeling or perhaps a light feeling I'm not sure which,

But you can be aware now of a comfortable feeling,

A feeling of relaxation beginning to spread from your feet through to your ankles and up to your calves,

A feeling in your legs becoming slightly heavier and heavier and more and more relaxed and so that deep comfort spreads flowing upwards from the feet through to the ankles into the calves up into the thighs as those muscles begin to loosen and to lengthen becoming more relaxed as the comfort spreads through the legs.

You can probably imagine how those muscles look as they begin to relax,

Tension draining away allowing the muscles to soften,

To loosen and lengthen and let go.

Comfort spreading into the hips now and the lower back and all the muscles there are just beginning to loosen,

To lengthen and become relaxed and that comfort now spreads into the base of the spine moving upwards slowly and all the muscles along the spine now relaxing is as if a warm beam of light is being shone at the base of the spine and slowly moves upwards melting away the tension,

Easing the tension away helping to loosen and lengthen those muscles,

Tension draining away just letting go and the relaxation continuing now to spread upwards at his own pace up through the chest through into the back across the shoulder blades and then to the shoulders a gentle warmth softening and loosening all the tension just draining down draining away just letting go and that relaxation spreading into your shoulders down your arms to your elbows into your wrists and hands and you notice perhaps a heaviness or a likeness as you sink down into further comforts and become more and more relaxed and just allow now that comfort to continue flowing upwards into your neck and throat a gentle warmth moving through the neck and the throat and the relaxation sinking deeply into this area and flowing upwards once again into the back of the head over the top through the hair every tiny hair follicle just soaking up the deep comfort that's spreading through the scalp easing away any tension in the head and that comfort and relaxation moves into the forehead now spreading down across the face into your eyes your cheeks your mouth your jaw letting go of any tension that resides in the face the mouth the jaw tension draining down draining away just letting go and there is nothing that the face needs to communicate right now all the muscles of the face can rest and relax just rest and relax imagine a mask slipping down off your face all the expressions you've been wearing dropping away letting go of any frowns any smiles all the muscles just behind the face are relaxing and the muscles behind the muscles of the face are relaxing just letting go and it's very positive and comforting to know that you can leave your body resting from the top of your head to the tips of your toes and as you leave your body resting you are going deeper and deeper into relaxation and it doesn't matter whether you're resting deeply or likely because either way you are benefiting so many things are happening automatically without even thinking about it your body and mind are automatically just letting go letting go of all the tension tension melting away draining away just letting go in a moment or two i'm going to ask you to use your imagination in a positive and beneficial way each word that i say relaxes you more every breath you take calms and relaxes you more these words will begin to exercise a greater and greater influence over the way you think over the way you feel and over the way you behave and because these words will stay firmly embedded in your mind they will become more and more a part of your inner realities as you continue to take positive steps to look after your health and well-being i'd like you to imagine a ruler with the numbers from one to twelve with every number that i say imagine that you are floating down and down into a deeper level of mental and physical relaxation almost as if you are weightless gently floating down into a deep marshmallow-like bed of comfort so soft so comfortable so just allow yourself now to relax and let go and to sink down into further comfort with each number 12 letting go 11 deeper and deeper relaxed 10 the deeper you go the better you feel 9 relaxing 8 experiencing a sense of calm 7 really letting go 6 really letting go 5 4 3 sinking down 2 nearly there 1 2 and you can enjoy this feeling you can enjoy the benefits to your health that this audio tonic will provide all the positive suggestions that i give to you are going to sink deep into your mind and they are there for your benefit they influence you in a positive way and you will find by playing this audio repeatedly changes are happening within you some of which you will be aware of and some you won't be aware of until a later date but for now as you rest there this relaxation is benefiting you in so many ways your heart rate has lowered your blood pressure has lowered your breathing rate has lowered your body and mind have slowed down letting go of tension tension is draining away as you relax there listening to the sound of my voice here you are helping to protect your immune system which is a vital part of living longer feeling younger and being healthy you are learning new ways of being and by relaxing in this way you are reducing stress reducing tension and becoming a healthier you stress tension and anxiety have a negative impact on the immune system and on your well-being from this day forward you are learning to think more positively thereby counteracting the impact of stress tension and anxiety every day you are managing stress more effectively because you are more positive more focused and more optimistic in a moment I'd like you to repeat some positive affirmations and as you repeat the words I'd like you to say them silently in your mind with real belief as if they are the reality now draw the affirmations deep inside you and repeat the words with feeling the more you feel it the stronger the positive feelings will be imagine every part of you every cell of your body resonating with these affirmations I feel totally relaxed in my mind and in my body every cell and tissue in my body is regaining complete health and harmony I love and accept my body completely I look after my health daily I have the power to heal myself I choose to be calm and relaxed in my daily life you will continue to remember and remain connected to these positive feelings and remain so much more calm and composed in your everyday life and you will cope with life's ups and downs in a more balanced way a more relaxed way and if ever you are faced with any potential stressful situations you will be able to approach the situations in a positive way taking control of your emotions feeling solid and secure in yourself and you will live your life to the full and feel inspired to go after your dreams and goals becoming that carefree happy individual that you are every day you are getting better and better at feeding happy positive thoughts into your mind this has a positive impact on your health and at the end of each day you will find yourself relaxing into a deep and restorative sleep enabling your body to repair and re-energize changes are happening within you you feel more comfortable within yourself your mind and body as day by day these positive feelings develop deep within you day by day life becoming more pleasurable more fulfilling and happier and Deeply relaxing and good to have a meditation to fall back on without background noise or music, which I often find distracting. Good, too, that it's designed to be listened to either before sleep or or as a break.
