Hey there,

My name is Joyce and I'll be guiding you through a short series of Reiki healing sessions designed to help you relax,

Connect with your inner energy and bring more calm and balance into your day.

Reiki is a gentle,

Natural healing energy that anyone can receive and benefit from.

It works by helping your body relax and encouraging your own natural ability to restore balance and well-being.

Think of it like tuning a musical instrument.

Reiki helps tune your energy so you feel more peaceful and refreshed.

You don't need to know anything about chakras or energy systems to experience Reiki.

Simply being open to relaxation and healing is enough.

As a core part of the Reiki practice,

I would like to introduce you to the five principles that are called the Gokai.

The Gokai are five simple principles that guide the Reiki way of life.

They serve as gentle reminders to live with kindness and calm.

This is the Gokai.

Just for today,

I will not be angry.

Just for today,

I will not worry.

Just for today,

I will be grateful.

Just for today,

I will do my work honestly and on myself.

Just for today,

I will be kind to every living thing,

Including myself.

You don't have to memorize them now.

Just let their meanings settle in as we move into a short meditation.

Find a comfortable seated position.

Close your eyes if you like.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Let your body relax with each breath.

As you breathe gently,

Silently repeat these words to yourself.

Just for today,

I will not be angry.

Just for today,

I will not worry.

Just for today,

I will be grateful.

Just for today,

I will do my work honestly and on myself.

Just for today,

I will be kind to every living thing,

Including myself.

Feel the meaning of these words as you breathe.

Allow yourself to rest in this peaceful moment.

Take one more deep breath in and out.

When you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes and thank yourself for showing up to this practice.

I thank you for joining me in this session and I look forward to guiding you through the next sessions where we'll explore gentle right practices to support your well-being.

Until next time,

Be well.
