For today's meditation,

I would like you to lie flat on your back and stretch your legs out straight.

Allow your feet to fall softly to the sides and relax them completely.

Relax your arms next to your body.

The palms of your hands face upwards to the sky with your fingers soft and relaxed.

Close your eyes and see if you can keep your eyes closed while we relax.

Let's take three deep breaths together.

Take a deep breath in and out again.

Another deep breath in and out again.

Let's do that one more time.

Deep breath in and out again.

We are going to imagine all of the beautiful colors of the rainbow visiting us one by one.

Keep your eyes closed and imagine that there is a glowing red light shining on you.

The light is the color of strawberries and ladybirds and is shining softly on your entire body.

Let's take a deep breath in and out.

Now the light shining on you is changing to orange.

The light is the color of oranges and goldfish and is shining softly on your entire body.

Let's take a deep breath in and out.

Then the light shining on you is turning yellow.

The light is the color of sunshine and daisies and is shining softly on your entire body.

Let's take a deep breath in and out.

The light shining on you turns from yellow to green.

The light is the color of soft grass and big trees and is shining softly on your entire body.

Let's take a deep breath in and out.

The green light shining on you changes to blue light.

The light is the color of the sky and the sea and is shining softly on your entire body.

Let's take a deep breath in and out.

The blue light shining on you becomes a little darker and turns into navy blue.

The light is the color of blueberries and the sky at night and is shining softly on your entire body.

Let's take a deep breath in and out.

The navy blue light shining on you changes to purple light.

The light is the color of juicy grapes and lavender flowers and is shining softly on your entire body.

Let's take a deep breath in and out.

The purple light shining on you fades away softly.

Now imagine all of the colors that your body has absorbed shine out of your heart like a rainbow.

The rainbow of colored light shining out of your heart spreads wider and wider and touches everything and everyone around you.

Whenever your beautiful rainbow colored light touches someone it makes them feel happy and relaxed.

Remember that you carry this wonderful rainbow in your heart wherever you go.

If you meet someone who needs some cheering up or if you need some cheering up yourself you just have to think about the lovely rainbow that lives inside your heart.

Taking a few long slow breaths while thinking about the rainbow in your heart can also help you feel calm.

Let's take three last slow breaths together.

Take a slow breath in and out again.

Another slow breath in and out again.

Let's do that one more time.

Slow breath in and out again.

You can now start to wiggle your fingers and your toes to wake your body up after this relaxing time.

When you are ready you can slowly sit up and open your eyes.
