This is a guided meditation to bring more peace and calm to your mind and body. It can be particularly helpful if you are experiencing any anxiety and are seeking some relaxation. It is accompanied by some soothing background music.

Welcome to this guided meditation to relieve you of anxious thoughts and anxious feelings.

Begin by getting in a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down.

Bring your awareness to your breath.

Notice if there is any tension anywhere in your body.

Notice your jaw,

The muscles in your face,

Your neck,

Your shoulders,

Your chest,

Your belly,

And the rest of your body.

Now focus on relaxing your belly.

If there is any noticeable tightness or tension in your belly,

Allow it to soften.

Allow your belly to expand with every inhale and collapse with every exhale.

Relaxing your shoulders.

Relaxing your chest and sending the oxygen to your belly.

Now notice where your body is holding tension.

With your next inhale,

Imagine a warm,

Healing light.

Move to that area in your body.

Notice the color of this light and feel its warmth as it begins to melt away the tension in your body.

Feel your muscles beginning to relax.

Noticing your breath deepening.

Inhaling for a count of 4.

1,

2,

3,

4 and exhaling for a count of 8.

1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

6,

7,

8.

With every exhale,

You feel more and more tension,

Leaving your body.

Continue to breathe in that beautiful,

Warm,

Healing light.

As it moves to the area of tension in your body,

You notice it releasing even more tension.

And you also notice that any worrisome thoughts,

Any feelings or thoughts of anxiety,

They too are also beginning to melt away.

Feelings of overwhelm,

Fear,

Anxiety,

All of these feelings are melting away by this glowing,

Warm light that you breathe in.

Notice how relaxed you are becoming right now.

The slow,

Deep breaths are bringing ease to your body and to your mind.

Observe how the anxious thoughts are gradually diminishing.

That warm,

Glowing light is bringing more and more peace and calm.

Continue to breathe in this healing light.

Exhale 2,

As you allow your breath to flow naturally,

You continue to go deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Enjoy this peaceful state that you have created.
