Meditation Timer OnlineAngie Ross is a somatic therapist whose work is rooted in care, respect, and feminist values. She joined BACA, an Eating Disorder clinic, in May 2022 where she was drawn to its multidisciplinary and philosophically grounded approach to healing. Angie’s professional path began as a dancer and yoga teacher, where she developed a deep appreciation for movement as a source of expression, awareness, and resilience. This interest led her to focus on the therapeutic dimensions of movement and to complete a Master’s degree in Drama Therapy at Concordia University. Her work integrates creative and body-based approaches to support emotional processing and self-understanding. She considers it an honor to hold space for clients as they share their stories. Angie supports clients in reconnecting with their bodies, transforming difficult emotions, and understanding their nervous systems. She is particularly passionate about somatic therapies such as Focusing-Oriented Therapy and Somatic Experiencing, as well as the use of metaphor, symbolism, and imagery drawn from drama therapy and dance and movement therapy. Angie reminds those considering seeking support—especially for eating disorders—that healing does not require having everything figured out. As one of her mentors says: “Intention – Attention – Action.” Begin with the first step, and let the process unfold.
