Today a non-sleep deep rest yoga nidra experience to help you restore your mind and body.
In yoga nidra we can reach states where your body can enter deep restoration,
Profound restoration often equivalent to hours of sleep.
And today with my heart holding you we create a safe container for you to enter with me.
So,
Closing your beautiful eyes if they're not closed already and starting to allow yourself to get comfortable,
Lying down,
Sitting back,
Arms by your side,
Legs relaxed and taking one slow breath in through your nose into your belly and out through your mouth.
Going again,
One more,
Breathing in,
Feeling the weight of your body being held,
Relaxed,
Supported safe enough to rest here with me.
We will set a intention together,
A sankalpa for this yoga nidra journey,
Something that feels aligned and true for you in this moment,
A short phrase.
If you do not have an intention already with you,
Here are some of my own that I share for you to take and to embody.
I am restoring,
I allow deep rest,
My body knows how to heal,
And whether one of mine or your own,
Take this sankalpa and repeat it three times,
Dropping it into your heart and planting this intentional seed.
And breathing in again,
Following my voice now for our body rotation and just connecting your awareness to the area of the body that my voice,

And it is here that we can begin to count our breaths,
Counting our breaths backwards from 10,

Inhale and exhale,

Continuing the count at your own pace and knowing that if you lose track,
If you fall off,
Nothing is wrong,
You may begin where you left,
Being in the spaces between the breaths,
As your body follows,
Follows your internal count,
Letting yourself drop any effort,
Or any pressure in the space you have landed,
In the space that you find yourself in,
Notice what heaviness remains in your body,
Wherever it is,
Bring your full,
Loving attention,
And with your intention,
With your loving permission,
Shift that heaviness,
Shift and move it from heavy to light,
And moving between the two,

Effortlessly,
Slowly,

Allowing your nervous system to experience both,
And joining me for a deep breath,
We now expand your awareness,
No more counting or directing,
Simply resting in an expanded state,
Where thoughts may come,
Sensations may arise,

Like a still space,
That everything moves through,

I invite you to reconnect back to your sankalpa,
Back to your heart intention,
The one you planted at the beginning with so much love,
And internally,
In your inner world,
Repeat this silently,

Letting it drop into this quiet,
Expanded,
Restful state of mind,
Restful state of consciousness,
And here,
We will together,
Take your intention,
As I wrap my love,

And we will let it sprout,

Into all the areas of your life,
That you wish to embody it,
That you wish to take it with you into,
So we affirm this,
By taking a big deep breath together,

As here in the room you are in,
Surface beneath you,
Space around you,

And you're ready,
You can open your eyes,
