Hi I'm Paula from Happy Yoga Wales and this is a short meditation for the throat chakra.

So let's begin today in any comfortable seated position where you can stack your shoulders directly above the hips,

Reaching tall through the crown of the head taking a big breath in here and exhale sigh out of the mouth.

And then either keeping the eyes open or closed just becoming aware of all the points of contact between your body and the surface you're sitting on.

Relaxing any muscles in the face,

The forehead,

The jaw,

Allowing the shoulders to lower away from the ears.

And just notice the breath here.

Notice the natural breath as it flows in and out.

And then setting our intention for our practice today,

Either saying silently to yourself or if it's appropriate maybe saying out loud since we're working with this throat chakra today.

I communicate clearly and compassionately.

I communicate clearly and compassionately.

And as you continue to keep this gentle focus on the breath,

Visualize right in the centre of the throat,

A blue sphere.

And as you breathe,

Allowing this blue sphere to spin,

Clearing any blockages,

Creating space in the throat centre.

And as you continue to breathe,

Feel the connection from your heart to the throat.

And know that as you breathe,

You are able to speak from the heart with confidence and clarity.

With each inhale,

Feeling the space created in the throat centre and the connection between heart and throat growing stronger.

And then letting go of any visualization and just come back to feeling the breath,

The natural breath,

Free and easy.

And saying one more time,

Either silently or out loud,

I communicate clearly and compassionately.

And then taking a big breath in and then exhale audibly through the mouth.

And doing that one more time,

A big breath in and sigh it out.

And if the eyes were closed,

Slowly blinking them open and continuing into your day with truth and love.
