Welcome to this sleep meditation where you will take a mysterious journey to meet the friendly dragon.
If you're ready for an adventure to his hidden lair high up in the forgotten mountains then close your eyes and let your imagination run wild.
As you settle in and get really comfortable take a deep breath in and a long breath out.
Wonderful.
Again a deep breath in and a calm breath out.
Just breathe naturally now.
If you're already feeling relaxed that is great because all the meditation magic happens right in that dreamy place of being almost awake and almost asleep.
Now imagine rocky mountains which have a little snow at the top.
These craggy mountains are in a very remote part of the world.
Far away from where people live.
They are known as the forgotten mountains unexplored by mankind for many years.
You know that there aren't many dragons left in the world.
They have been driven to hide out at the far ends of the earth.
If you see an abandoned cave in any place far away from civilization it may just be a dragon's lair.
Now imagine walking along a mountain pass.
You are here in search of the friendly dragon.
This narrow path leads alongside the mountain.
You know you are safe here and it feels fun to explore this land.
The air feels cool against your face and the landscape around you is huge.
There are rocky mountains and valleys as far as the eye can see.
As you continue to travel along you remember that dragons love to make riddles for fun.
You test people entering their lairs.
And now you round the bend of the mountain pass and you see a huge castle built into the rock.
It looks abandoned and is overgrown with some vines.
How mysterious.
And now you see a big entrance to a cave.
You feel so excited.
Could this be where the friendly dragon lives?
You walk quietly up to the cave entrance and peer inside.
Immediately a deep voice calls out to you from within.
Who goes there?
Wow it's like he knew you were coming.
You say your name.
The deep voice calls out again.
You shall not pass unless you answer this riddle correctly.
I fly and I soar.
Gold I adore.
When I breathe there'll be fire.
Precious gems I admire.
I lie down on my pile.
Don't be scared if I smile.
What am I?
You think the answer is pretty obvious.
You give your answer to the riddle and wait to see if you are right.
Suddenly the cave lights up from deep within,
Glowing with a golden light.
You cannot yet see the dragon,
But you step bravely inside.
Very curious and very confident.
You walk through the huge cavern which winds around deeper and deeper into the mountain.
There are wooden torches lit with fire leading the way through the darkness.
You still feel very safe here.
The cave opens up to become even bigger.
And now you see the dragon.
An immense creature with scales of many colours.
He smiles down at you,
A lazy,
Toothy grin.
And he seems very happy to see you.
His scales are actually really interesting.
They shimmer colourfully in the light.
His eyes are shiny and kind.
As he moves towards you,
His tail comes into view.
You reach out your hand and shake his claw.
And he laughs with glee.
You feel so lucky to be meeting a real life dragon.
One of the rarest of all the mythical creatures.
You look around his hidden lair.
It has gemstones and jewels and crowns and gold coins in a humongous pile of treasure.
The friendly dragon tells you it's wonderful to have nice things.
But they don't really make him happy.
He prefers crystals for gemstones these days because they have such positive energy.
Even though he loves his own company,
Sometimes he gets a little lonely being all by himself.
He tells you he has lived throughout history and used to be fierce and fight battles but has learned to have love in his heart.
Now he is wise after learning the wisdom of the ages.
He uses his fiery breath for kindness.
To light fires for people who are cold in the snow country.
The dragon smiles down at you with his friendly toothy grin.
He asks if you would like to go on a flying tour of his favourite lands.
You couldn't be more excited.
You climb up onto his big arm and onto his back.
Holding onto his scales and a tuft of fluffy fur on the top of his back.
He lumbers along through the cave.
Ambling with big heavy steps until you reach the opening and the sunlight.
And now he takes you flying.
The dragon's wings spread out and flap effortlessly through the air.
He laughs a booming and happy laugh and soars through the sky.
You hold on tight and feel so safe and powerful on your big strong dragon friend.
The wind rushes through your hair and you feel so free.
As you feel you fly over the land below.
The friendly dragon points out where some battles once were.
You feel so lucky to be living in a time of peace.
It's a great time to be alive on this earth.
For your first stop you explore the abandoned castle on the craggy rocks nearby.
Your dragon flies over the moat,
Over the drawbridge and right inside the castle grounds of crumbling ruins.
It is so much fun having the castle all to yourself.
You walk inside and discover the banquet room,
The chambers,
Winding stone stairways,
Turrets and even stone passages leading out through the mountain.
Amazing.
And now you hop back onto your dragon friend and explore the far reaches of the earth.
Together you fly over volcanoes.
You soar over tropical islands.
You fly all the way to the snow land.
You fly all the way to the snow lands now.
With a few fiery puffs the dragon lights fires for the people living in the snow fields.
They clap and cheer with delight and look up at the dragon in awe.
You may keep flying now over the entire earth.
Exploring everywhere with your friendly dragon as much as you wish.
Have fun visiting some amazing places and when my voice returns it will be time for your happiest dreams.
After having the most magical time,
Exploring the world with your dragon friend,
It is time now to return home.
It is now nightfall and the moon is high in the sky.
The dragon glides through the air with its strong wings taking you all the way home to bed.
You give its scaly body a big hug and climb down his arm and through your window.
As you wave goodbye to your friendly dragon he gives you a happy smile and then flaps his wings and flies off into the night.
You smile to yourself as you see his silhouette against the full moon flying back to his hidden lair in the far distance.
You climb into bed and snuggle under the warm covers.
You breathe a deep sigh of gratitude for this amazing adventure.
The relaxation of sleep takes over now,
Lulling you off and into the wonderful world of dreams.
As you sleep so deeply,
You feel so safe and happy and free.
You know that you are powerful and confident because you can do anything.
You have such positive energy in your heart.
You are wise and kind,
Just like the dragon.
As you drift into your most wonderful dreams,
You feel so blessed because you know that your dragon friend is waiting for you to visit in his hidden lair in the craggy mountains any time you wish.
