Hi,
Welcome to Happy Mind Meditations.
My name is Simon and today we are going to be focusing on grounding ourselves.
This meditation is part of the 7-minute series of meditations for busy people.
You've probably had a lot going on in your day and you need to re-center yourself and just let go of the noise.
So first we're going to begin by setting the intention for this meditation.
And the intention of this meditation is to come into a place of more peace,
Of feeling more grounded and relaxed and present in our own bodies.
So let's dive straight into this meditation.
Just begin by closing your eyes.
You can either be seated for this or you can lie down.
It's totally up to you,
However you feel most comfortable.
Begin by taking a slow,
Deep inhale with me.
And a gentle exhale.
Just become aware of the breath.
Take another slow,
Deep inhale with me.
And on the exhale,
Imagine all of that stress and worries leaving your body like black smoke.
And again,
Letting go of all of the stress and the worries of your day.
They are not important right now.
Just following the breath for now.
Now as you continue to take these slow,
Deep breaths in,
I want you to place the palms of your hands over your heart center and just imagine as if you're breathing into your heart center.
So take a deep breath in through your heart.
And exhale,
Just focusing on the heart center.
Now I want you to use your imagination here and with your hands over your heart,
I want you to imagine that your heart has an amazingly beautiful exotic flower inside that is blooming.
And as you take these slow,
Deep breaths into your heart,
I want you to imagine that there is a gentle sunlight that is shining above you.
And as you continue to take your deep,
Slow breaths in and out,
Just imagine that the petals of this amazing flower are slowly opening up and receiving the warm,
Gentle sun coming from above.
And with each and every slow and gentle breath,
You can just feel the petals of your heart opening more and more as they open up to the warmth coming from above and continue to blossom with each and every breath.
Just feel that warmth entering into your heart,
Opening in,
Relaxing,
Softening.
Now slowly bring your palms further down into your stomach area,
Right above your belly button.
Notice the warmth of your hands and I want you to take a slow,
Deep inhale through your stomach area and a gentle exhale.
And as you breathe,
Imagine that the roots are now making their way down from this flower in your heart into your stomach.
And with each and every exhale,
You notice that these roots,
These warm,
Gentle roots make their way down through your stomach area,
Further down into the base of your spine.
And these roots gently push their way down into the earth below.
So let's take a gentle,
Slow inhale and exhale.
As you exhale,
Just imagine the roots making their way down,
Down,
Down,
Down through your stomach into the earth below.
And they gently make their way down through the earth's core,
Just like a tree that plants its roots down into the earth below,
Going deeper and deeper.
And as you continue to inhale and exhale,
Slow,
Deep breaths,
I want you just to imagine these roots continue to make their way down through the base of your spine and really ground themselves into the earth below.
Just notice that feeling of groundedness at the base of your spine and within your stomach.
Feel that connection with the earth below.
You're grounded,
You're present and relaxed in this moment.
You are safe in this moment.
So as we come to the end of this meditation,
I hope you're feeling more grounded,
More at peace,
More centered and feel free to come back to this meditation any time of the day that you need to.
Sending much love and peace your way and I look forward to our next meditation journey together.
