There is no fortune greater than peace.
There is no force greater than peace.
There is no excellent tapas greater than peace.
There is no immortal life greater than living in peace.
In the interval between two thoughts,
The mind as pure awareness shines.
To know this as eternal being,
And firmly in the heart to abide as such awareness,
Is the state supreme.
The hard knot is full of the darkness of ignorance,
And it is illusory.
When this knot snaps and opens,
Consciousness,
Like the sky,
Surges undividedly,
Leading to a clear and enduring peace,
In which the self shines forth in the heart.
Only the love for the self that springs forth in the heart is the true devotion that is full of auspiciousness.
When the jiva,
A living being imbued with spirit,
Has its inert association with the body,
Totally destroyed and ignited by the fire of wisdom,
It burns in the huge and extensive cremation ground,
The space of consciousness.
The vision of this excellent effulgence is similar to the sight of an unbounded sea of fire that rages when a vast forest,
Dense with dried trees,
Catches fire and spreads in all directions.
In a heart that has drowned itself in the awareness of true enlightened wisdom,
Which is holy love,
Bliss in its fullness will surge forth.
Tormenting desires that arise through delusion do not exist there.
That life,
Existing as the extremely pure nature of self,
Is holy peace.
Do not look at this,
Do not look at that.
If you simply remain without looking at anything,
Then by that powerful look at being,
That is,
By that powerful attention to self,
I am,
You will become the supreme reality which has the outlook of the unlimited space of consciousness.
Realizing clearly that the experience of the bliss of peace can only be had in Svarupa and not in this worldly life that arises through mental delusion,
Destroy that attachment to the world and attain the experience of Svarupa,
The expanse of grace,
The ultimate state of silence.
If you abide in the heart as Sat Chit,
I am,
By which the whole universe exists and shines,
Then this world will also become one with you,
Losing its false,
Frightening dualities.
That self-consciousness,
Sat Chit,
Which shines in all,
As all,
Is the Guru.
Never through argument,
But only by abiding in the heart as pure awareness,
Which lights up and shines within the mind,
Can one enjoy the thrill,
The throb,
The bliss supreme of being the self.
To know the truth,
You need not undergo all this torture of learning.
Not by reading do you get the truth.
Be quiet.
That is truth.
Be still.
That is God.
