Hello,

Hello,

My friend.

This is a meditation that finds you during the holiday season when things can feel a little bit overwhelming.

Perhaps you still feel the magic of the season,

Yet there is still some heaviness on your shoulders or in your heart.

This is Here by HMT,

Where we find reasons why right here is the best place to be.

If you can,

My friend,

Please close down your eyes.

Let's take a big,

Beautiful inhale,

Breath through your nose,

Inhale,

Exhale.

Another breath here,

Inhale,

Exhale,

As big as,

Deep as one here,

Inhale,

Exhale.

Now,

In your mind's eye,

My friend,

I invite you to imagine that you are standing outside in the middle of a snowstorm.

Now,

Perhaps this is never something you've experienced before,

But just allow your imagination here to grow what this experience might feel like in your mind.

Snowflakes swirling and twirling around you,

Furiously,

Vibrantly,

Like a dance unchoreographed.

Even though it is cooler outside,

You can feel the sensation on your cheeks,

Yet your body feels warm,

And you begin to realize that these snowflakes,

This snow,

Is moving at the same pace,

The same velocity as your thoughts are in this moment.

And in order for these tiny specks of snow to cease from crashing into your face,

My friend,

You must also begin to slow your thoughts.

And so,

In this moment,

You start to slow your thoughts by 20%,

By 40%.

Perhaps you can start to see the outline now of those snowflakes as they glide their way down from the sky,

Less violently,

60%,

80% here.

There are only a few snowflakes left to fall,

A few thoughts left here,

90%.

There is a stillness,

A blanketing happening around you as this snow comes to a stillness,

100%.

Now,

As you pause in this silence,

As you pause in this cozy blanket of snow surrounding you,

This silence,

Feel that,

Feel the sensation of being here,

My friend,

Of not doing,

Simply being.

Take a deep inhale breath here,

Inhale,

Fill up,

Exhale,

Another breath here,

Inhale,

Fill up,

Exhale,

Last one,

Inhale,

Fill up,

Fill up with this stillness,

This silence,

My friend.

Can you feel the sensation of this pause,

Of giving yourself this space,

Of letting go of the weight,

The heaviness,

The cold sensation of those thoughts?

What is left here?

Just pause and notice,

Pause and notice,

Pause and notice,

My friend.

There is no wrong answer,

Just your answer.

Perhaps you have a feeling,

Maybe it's a sensation,

Perhaps that heaviness is still present.

And if that is the case,

Can we ask it,

What is it that it needs?

What do you need,

My friend,

Right here?

What do you need?

As the wind begins to pick up around you,

Let the whisper from your soul rise,

Just like the snowflakes slowly dancing on the top of the snow.

Allow those words to fall on your skin,

To land within you.

And in this moment,

Can you give yourself exactly that?

Maybe it's some pause,

Perhaps it's some recognition,

Maybe it's to finally feel worthy,

To feel valued,

To feel loved,

To feel accepted,

To feel pride.

What is it here,

My friend?

Breathe into that.

Give yourself that right here,

Right now.

Inhale,

Exhale,

Another breath here,

Inhale,

Exhale,

As big,

As deep as one here,

My friend,

Inhale,

Really fill up,

Fill up,

Fill up with,

Exhale,

Perhaps you can feel the warmth radiating here from your palms,

All the way up your forearms,

Your arms,

All the way down to the tips of your toes and the top of your head.

Take a moment to pause and recognition that there is so much within you right here,

My friend.

Let go of the what ifs,

Let go of the weight of the needing to be something else.

You,

My friend,

You are the gift.

And when we stay in the present,

Take one more big,

Beautiful inhale breath here,

My Inhale,

Inhale,

Inhale,

Inhale,

Exhale.

Perhaps the snow begins to fall once again,

But this time it's big,

Fluffy flakes,

One by one.

Turn your face up towards the sky,

Open up your mouth,

And maybe,

Just maybe even feel one flake land on your tongue,

Melting here,

Reminding you of that heat,

That power,

That presence that you have right here at all.

One more big,

Beautiful inhale breath here,

My friend,

Inhale,

Exhale out your mouth.

Let that go to the moon,

The space,

The place that you are in.

And still with this feeling within you,

This remembrance that you are,

In fact,

A gift.

One more beautiful inhale breath here,

My friend,

Inhale,

Inhale into this season,

Into this moment,

Into this presence,

Exhale.

You're ready,

If and when you are ready,

Softly,

Slowly opening your mouth.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you,

My friend,

For being here with me,

Because right here is exactly where you were meant to be.
