Welcome to the table.

It's time to settle in and rest your heart,

Ease your mind for a moment of peace and presence before the rest of your day.

During this moment in time you may be feeling the push,

The urge from society and the community around you to tap into your thankfulness and your gratitude.

And as much as these two emotions are beneficial and generous,

Sometimes it can be hard to tap into thankfulness and into gratitude when there's much going on in the mind.

You may be in a situation where you feel like you need to keep your guard up.

It's possible that during this time of year you're out of town,

Out of your element and potentially back in a place that feels like it no longer serves you.

And with this sense of protection that you feel you need to have for yourself also comes an underlying fear.

A fear of being exposed,

Unwanted,

Not enough.

And these are legitimate fears but those fears are blocking the path to gratitude and the path to connecting with thankfulness.

So in this meditation set the intention of loosening,

Relaxing and letting go.

Let's take a deep breath in and release.

You are enough.

You are special and you are amazing.

You were born worthy.

No one can take that away.

No one can compromise that.

It is truth and truth is everlasting and prevails.

Take a moment to place your hand on your heart.

Feel it beating beneath your palm.

Feel the energy and the fire that keeps you going,

That keeps you moving and navigating the stories of this planet.

Start breathing into your heart.

Send the energy of gratitude and thankfulness to your heart.

And as you feel that warmth growing beneath your hand,

Allow it to emanate out through your abdomen and the rest of your chest.

Allow that thankfulness and that gratitude for your heart,

For yourself to continue to trickle down your legs and your arms up to your head.

Breathe it through your entire body.

You are safe.

You are not alone.

You are always worthy.

Now envision this love,

Gratitude and thankfulness as something that you can share,

Something that radiates from you,

That you can direct,

Point and send to whatever you choose.

You are the magician with this power,

The sorcerer,

The sorceress,

The source of this love,

This gratitude and this thankfulness.

See yourself sharing it with those most closed,

With those most protected and hurting,

Those who live within a fortress of their own creation.

You are safe.

You are protected.

You are the source of this gratitude,

Of this energy.

And in any moment that you may feel compromised,

Vulnerable or fearful,

Reconnect and remember this source,

This love,

This gratitude that you can reconnect with in yourself because it's always there.

It's always with you.

You may need to step aside,

Go out into nature,

Breathe a little fresh air to reconnect,

But you can always tap back in.

See those moments,

Those triggering situations that bring back that fear and that need to protect yourself.

See those as gifts.

See those as practice because with each and every one you have another chance to reconnect,

To feel that gratitude and that thankfulness and that warmth in your heart.

And as the saying goes,

Practice makes perfect or at least makes our version of perfect.

The more we practice,

The better we get and the less time we spend in that fear,

In that protective mode.

Use this as an opportunity to build your trust with yourself,

To show yourself gratitude for taking care of you,

For wanting to protect your heart.

You are precious and you are worthy of this love.

And the more you revisit this,

The stronger and truer it becomes in your mind,

Body,

And spirit.

Take a few moments to let this sink in,

To really connect and to know that you can do this.

Begin to start some micro movements.

Point and stretch your feet,

Rotate your wrists,

Open and close your fists.

Gently roll to one side and take a moment to deepen your breath and come back.

And when you're ready,

With eyes either closed or lowered,

You can push yourself up to seated if you're not already.

And let's take a deep breath together and remember that you are worthy,

You are precious,

And that true,

Loving,

Grateful version of you deserves to be shared with the world,

With your family,

With the people you're surrounded by.

Because that gives others permission as well.

Permission to show up,

To be open,

To be present,

And to maybe even be vulnerable.

Thank you so much for meditating with me.

Namaste.
