This audio is designed to help anyone becoming more accepting, especially members of Queer community who struggle with self acceptance, self-love, self-worth and self-confidence. We hold beliefs that are conditioned by our society that are self-harming and they hinder one's personal growth. My intention is to help you ignite self love and acceptance towards yourself so that you can show up in the world with more authenticity, love and compassion. Follow Guri for more resources xo

You are a gift and I love you unconditionally.

Either you hold a bad image of yourself but there is a past trauma related to your looks and your sexual orientation.

There is a lot to process.

We cannot just wake up one day and accept ourselves fully and fall deeply in love but that doesn't mean that we cannot move towards healing and slowly start with accepting one thing at a time.

See we are always a work in progress so that's the mindset I encourage you to adopt.

Focusing on your journey rather than your destination.

As a member of queer community everyone has a different story and need different practices and ways to heal but there are a few practices that will help everyone in some way who has a hard time or had a hard time in accepting themselves.

As for my personal experience acceptance is an inside game but we can also start with accepting the things that surround us.

Things that are not in our control.

Starting with your breath.

Become aware of the inhale and exhale.

Air coming in through your nostrils and giving you life.

Accept that and honor that.

Nature wants you to live,

To flourish and to experience this air.

This is nature's way of saying I love you.

Sit with this awareness accepting this love in the form of air and keep on breathing naturally.

You Accept this present moment.

There is nothing you can change about this moment.

Simply be aware of the sounds,

Feelings and experiences that you're having right now.

When you learn to accept the things that are not in your control it becomes a bit easier to accept yourself.

You were made that was not in your control.

You're a gift to the universe that's not in your control either.

Nature and people you know or don't know who love you are not in your control and people who don't like you because of their own suffering are also not in your control.

So there is only one thing that is in control and that's you.

Just you.

Now we will move to the next part of this meditation.

Self-acceptance.

I would invite you to visualize yourself in the way you don't like or maybe you did something you wish you didn't do.

While visualizing when thoughts arise label them and say this is just a thought or if there is a feeling say this is just a feeling.

Continue doing this for some time.

The intention is to become less critical about yourself.

There's always something we don't like about ourselves.

It can be your looks or your sexual orientation.

The way you talk or anything in particular you don't like about yourself.

Visualize this image of you being or doing the thing you don't like.

You will encounter some negative and unhelpful thoughts and feelings.

Know that it is natural.

Keep on visualizing and noticing these thoughts and feelings.

If you want you can repeat this is just a thought this is just a feeling.

The intention is to become proactive rather than reactive to these mental and emotional states.

Understanding the nature of things that are not in your control.

Sometimes this can be a bit challenging.

If you find yourself struggling simply ask yourself why do I dislike certain things about myself?

Instead of getting angry or frustrated try to ignite the compassionate side of you that is present within you.

Repeat these affirmations after me.

I am human and I'm okay with being imperfect.

I accept everything about me that I cannot change.

I deserve love and compassion.

Now moving your awareness to your past experiences when you felt acceptance from other people.

Visualize a time or memory when you felt fully accepted and loved.

Bring these moments in your mind and keep on visualizing them.

Notice how you feel when you think about these moments of acceptance,

Love and compassion.

Now repeat these statements after me.

May I be loved.

May I be happy.

May I accept myself the way I am.

As we finish this for today I want you to know that you are a gift and I love you unconditionally.

Sending you love,

Peace and light.

Thank you so much for this meditation. I’ve been struggling with accepting who I am my whole life because of fear of not being accepted by others. I am finally starting this journey and liking myself more each day
