Christian Morning Prayer

As we begin this new day,

This ability to start new,

To have a fresh slate,

There's so much to be grateful for.

Can you acknowledge that?

No matter what you are encountering or experiencing in your life currently or whatever this day has to hold,

Can you allow yourself to be grateful and trust this present moment?

Acknowledge the fact that you are still breathing,

That you still have life,

That you are able to create and mold this day in whatever you need it to be.

So ask that you open your heart and that you are able to receive what God needs to land on you today.

And I want us to meditate on numbers 6,

24 through 26.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.

The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you.

The Lord turn his face towards you and give you peace.

This is one of my favorite verses because it is just this covering,

This blessing that we can hold onto,

That we can experience and know that we are kept throughout our day.

That we are able to turn towards him and ignite that peace and that light within us.

That we may share it with others around us.

So as you begin today on a great note,

May you receive this prayer over your life.

Dear God,

We thank you for this moment.

We thank you for allowing us to see a new day.

We thank you for allowing us to carve out this time to pause,

To get still,

To be in your presence,

To hear your voice,

To be in your covering.

God,

We ask that you protect us today.

That you keep your hand on us as we move throughout the course of our day.

That you keep us lifted.

That you keep us positive and you help us to share our light with those around us.

We ask that you protect us from any dangers or harm that may come our way.

We ask that you remain with us.

That you give us peace and make sure that all of our needs are met.

God,

We thank you for being with us.

We thank you for giving us strength to continue forward on today.

We pray that you ignite us with a fire to continue to be good and share good with others.

God,

We thank you that we're open for your blessings.

That you can pour them out into our lives.

That we are in a spirit of expectancy for whatever you have for us today.

God,

We thank you that as we move through life,

As we move through our day,

As we encounter people,

As we do our work and we do our tasks for today,

That you will be in it.

That we will see gentle reminders that you are for us and you are with us all throughout the day.

Keep us lifted.

Keep us safe.

Keep us empowered.

We thank you and we love you.

In Jesus name,
