Present Moment Guidance
In the words of Ram Dass, "The quieter you become, the more you can hear." Let's slow down and leave a little open space in which to receive the guidance of the present moment, however it might like to guide us. This might be in the form of a symbolic image, a word, a statement, or maybe just a feeling. It could even be nothing at all. Nothing is also a very important something. Let's see what's here today.

I often find that I receive the guidance I'm looking for.
If only I will leave a little space.
The quieter you become,
The more you can hear.
So that's what we'll do here.
We'll begin by settling in,
Slowing down,
Resetting,
And then just leaving some open space to receive the guidance of the present moment in whatever way it wants to guide us.
Maybe that will be in an image,
Or a word,
Or a statement.
Maybe it's just a feeling.
So we can begin with a little settling in,
Slowing down.
If you like,
You can allow the eyes to close.
And maybe just taking a couple deep inhales and exhales.
Allowing the body to relax and release any tension it might be holding on to in the shoulders,
The arms,
The jaw,
The eyes,
The chest,
And the stomach.
Relaxing the neck,
Relaxing the body,
Relaxing the mind.
Maybe feeling your entire being as like a hand that is opening to receive what's here.
Feeling your awareness opening,
Expanding,
Just becoming receptive,
Kind of like the surface of water,
Clear.
You could imagine your mind as like this still water surface,
Along with each inhale and exhale becoming more and more still,
Calm,
And receptive.
And then gradually noticing whatever arises on the surface of this water,
Whatever is reflected on the surface.
Maybe this is a word,
Or an image,
Or a statement.
Maybe it's just a feeling.
So let's just leave some space here to allow whatever wants to reflect on the surface of your mind to reveal itself.
And now as we finish for today,
You can gradually allow the eyes to reopen themselves whenever the moment is right.
And if you like,
You might journal or write something about what came to you during this time,
Even if it was nothing.
The guidance of the present moment is always here.
If only we can remember and listen to it.
The quieter you become,
The more you can hear.
See you next time.
