The other day I watched a car attempt to parallel park into a spot that held enough space for one car and then some.
But I was on the outside,
So naturally I was able to see a bit more clearly.
Even though the car was stuttering back and forth,
I could see that there is so much pain.
But after a bit of bickering,
The passenger decided to get out because they can see more clearly and they verbally directed.
And of course,
I observed this a little bit differently than just a car and a parking space.
I saw myself,
Humans,
All of us as the drivers of our lives.
And we're driving big old cars,
Even though we're in the ones in the driver's seat,
We have blinders on,
The trunk,
The door.
Things that block our vision.
And we can rarely understand the space that we have because we're not on the outside.
But from this situation,
I had no blinders.
I became both the driver,
The passenger and the third party perspective.
This also made me wonder if this is what the universe or source sees when we're trying to step into our potential,
When we have all of this space and this freedom to expand into what we're meant to do.
Yet we become the car with fear that's timid and doesn't know what we're truly capable of.
So more simply put,
We have to get out of our own way by dropping into the space outside of us so that we can open up our perspective to be the witness,
The driver,
And the person on the outside.
We don't want to just be driving the car,
But we want to be able to see our potential and to step into it with a bit more ease.
So I hope that the next time you're questioning your own potential and what you're fully able to do,
You picture this,
You picture the car,
You are the driver,
You are the passenger,
And you are the observer.
And you can see all of this space around you.
You know that you can fit the same way I saw the car had more than enough space.
You're also the driver so you can take control of your life and you can choose how you navigate it.
And I hope that the next time you remember your power and you remember that you're allowed to take up space because there's so much waiting for you.
