This meditation is here to help you release the day,
Relax your mind,
And prepare your body for a peaceful night of sleep.
Let's start by finding a comfortable way of being,
And allow your eyes to close.
And even if you think you're fully relaxed,
Try to find even more relaxation.
Maybe adjusting your shoulders,
Putting your hands down beside you,
Releasing the tension in your jaw.
And let's take the deepest breath we've taken all day,
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
With each breath,
You're feeling your body start to soften and relax deeper and deeper.
Bringing awareness now to the body,
Starting at the top of your head,
Noticing any tension in the forehead,
And releasing.
With your next exhale,
Imagine any tension is melting away.
And moving your attention now to your shoulders,
Letting them soften,
Releasing any weight that they might be carrying from the day.
Moving that awareness now to slowly down your arms,
To your hands,
To your fingertips.
Feel them becoming heavy,
Relaxed,
And melting into your bed.
And a reminder just to pay attention to the breath.
Guiding your attention further down through your chest,
Your stomach,
Your hips,
Letting all of the tension dissolve.
And finally,
Bringing that attention to your legs,
Noticing the support and allowing them to feel heavy.
And as you move your attention to your toes,
Imagine any remaining tension leaving the body completely.
And now that your body is fully relaxed,
Imagine yourself in a peaceful and safe place.
Maybe in a cabin,
Maybe at the beach,
Or a quiet forest.
Perhaps you're laying next to a fireplace.
Wherever you feel most at ease,
Just allow the image to come to life in your mind's eye.
You're feeling the gentle rhythm of your own breath as the air around you is cradling you.
And each inhale fills you with calm,
Peaceful,
Content energy.
And every breath out releases any lingering thoughts or worries.
And just be with your natural breath's rhythm here.
You can feel the stillness of this place surrounding you and inviting you to let go and to surrender into the peace of this moment.
As you continue to relax,
