Midnight meditation designed to guide you back into the restful realms of sleep.

Let's begin.

Settle into a comfortable position,

Whether it's on your back or on your side,

With cushions supporting you as needed.

As you find your comfort,

Inhale deeply and exhale gently,

Becoming aware of the relaxation spreading through your body.

Allow your breath to wash away any lingering tensions as you further sink into your bed.

Gently transition your focus now from the realm of thought to that of feeling.

It's perfectly natural for the mind to wonder.

As you breathe,

Let go of your thoughts.

Give yourself this permission.

Immerse in the sensations within your body.

With every inhale,

Draw in tranquility,

And with every exhale,

Let go of tension.

Feel yourself becoming more grounded,

Your mind finding peace.

In this moment,

Your thoughts,

Your tasks,

Concerns,

And responsibilities can all wait.

This moment is exclusively yours,

A sanctuary of tranquility and rest.

Your body craves this peace,

This opportunity to recharge.

Surrender to this need.

You are not abandoning anything.

Instead,

You're prioritizing your well-being.

So let go of any mental lists or plans.

Nothing demands your attention right now more than your own serenity.

Now subtly shift your attention to your sense of hearing.

Gradually allow these sounds to fade into the background of your conscious perception.

Begin to explore sensations within your body.

Hips,

Head,

Your eyes gently closed.

Surrender to the heavy tranquility spreading across your body.

Each sense absorbed in serene stillness.

Let us now expand on the significance of the sankalpa,

Your heartfelt intention,

Allowing it to bloom within you.

As we gently transition to this stage,

Open your heart to the power of your chosen words.

Your sankalpa is a guiding light,

A compass that leads you toward the restful sanctuary of sleep.

Reflect on the words that most resonate with your heartfelt desires.

It may be something like,

I effortlessly welcome the embrace of sleep,

Or with each breath,

I draw closer to a tranquil and restful night,

Or perhaps peace courses through me,

Inviting soothing and rejuvenating sleep.

Use your sankalpa and allow your intention to take shape in your mind and allow yourself to be filled with a sense of certainty and belief.

Silently,

Echo your chosen sankalpa three times,

Each time breathing life into its essence.

Feel the vibrations of your intention reverberate through your entire being.

Embrace the certainty that your intention holds,

Awakening a profound sense of alignment and purpose.

As you nest your sankalpa deep within,

Feel its presence guiding you towards a restful and rejuvenating slumber.

The gentle weight of your body sinking further into the plushness of your bed.

With each breath out,

Allow your cares and worries to disappear,

To melt away into the ethereal mist of relaxation.

Embrace a calming countdown as you exhale,

Starting with the number 12.

Exhale 12,

Gracefully descending with each breath.

Exhale 11,

And keep counting on your own.

Letting the numbers serve as a gentle guide,

Leading you into a tranquil state of mind.

Keep counting,

And if your focus should waver,

Don't worry.

Simply return to the number 12,

As though stepping back onto a well-trodden path.

Now allow the counting to recede.

Release its hold on your attention.

Shift your focus solely to the ebb and flow of your breath,

Allowing it to weave a delicate tapestry of calmness within you.

Experience the serene symphony of inhalations and exhalations as you surrender yourself to this pure essence of being.

In this moment,

Let go of any striving or effort.

Just breathe,

Effortlessly,

Naturally.

Immerse yourself in the gentle rise and fall of your chest and your abdomen.

Into the subtle expansion and contraction of your body with each breath.

As you bask in the sensation of heaviness,

Allow yourself to fully surrender,

To fully release any remaining tension.

With each breath,

Feel the weight of your body sinking deeper and deeper providing tranquility and relaxation to envelop you like a soft and cozy blanket.

Now let your imagination take flight as you effortlessly transition to those contrasting sensations of opposites,

As we transition to that of lightness.

Picture yourself becoming weightless as if you could float effortlessly above your bed.

Sense that ethereal buoyancy,

The freedom from earthly constraints,

From gravity,

As you surrender to this feeling of weightlessness.

Allow yourself to drift back now to the sensation of heaviness,

Grounding yourself once again.

Feel the gentle descent,

Sinking even deeper into a profound state of calm with each and every breath.

Embrace this grounding force as it anchors you and allows you to completely let go.

Now gracefully return to that sensation of lightness as if you are effortlessly floating,

Unburdened by any constraint of the physical body.

Feel yourself rising gently,

Weightless and serene.

Allow this sensation to infuse you with a sense of expansiveness and liberation.

In this moment,

Release both sensations,

Bidding farewell to the contrasting dance of heaviness and lightness.

Return to your natural state,

Embracing the equilibrium that resides within you.

The perfect balance between grounding and liberation.

As you rest in this state of equilibrium,

Let go of any attachment to sensation.

Gently now,

Let your awareness drift into a soothing mental landscape.

Taking your awareness to the visualization space of your mind,

Imagine yourself in a tranquil forest glade at twilight.

Visualize the gentle transition of colors in the sky as day eases into night,

The blush of the sunset yielding to the soft indigo of dusk,

And finally melting into the calm of the twilight.

The shy stars begin to twinkle,

Dotting the sky like precious diamonds scattered on a velvet robe.

Observe a crystalline stream flowing leisurely through the glade,

The water reflecting the twinkle of the first stars.

Its natural music is soft,

A lullaby whispered to the stones it caresses in its course.

The air is still,

The world pausing to honor the arrival of the night.

Near the stream stands a sentinel willow tree,

Its branches gently swaying in the evening breeze,

Creating a soothing rhythm that calms the heart.

Its whispering leaves play a symphony of serenity,

The notes dancing in the air and resonating with your own breath.

Now imagine yourself lying beneath this guardian tree,

The lush carpet of moss serving as your bed.

The gentle rustle of the willow leaves mixes with the soft murmur of the brook,

And their melody a tranquil serenade inviting you to rest.

The world around you is imbued with enveloping stillness,

The glade bathed in the soft glow of the moonlight filtering through the branches of the willow tree.

Transitioning now to prepare yourself as we reconnect with your Sankalpa,

Your intention.

Allow yourself in this deep state of relaxation to emotionally reconnect with your Sankalpa.

Allow yourself to feel a profound sense of purpose and belief.

Visualize your Sankalpa igniting as a flame at the core of your being.

Silently say your Sankalpa to yourself three times,

And as you do,

Visualize that flame intensifying with each repetition,

Feeling its warmth spread throughout your body.

Say your Sankalpa three times now.

Now release your Sankalpa into the vastness of the universe.

Gently allow yourself to transition and drift off to a deep,

Gentle sleep.

Embrace a heart open to peace and a mind calm and serene,
