Hello,
My name is Denise Richter and I am a personal development and mindset coach.
Thank you for joining me today.
For the next several minutes,
We will spend some time recognizing and honoring all the parts of yourself.
While you are one person,
You are made up of many facets.
Balance is achieved when you care for all parts of yourself.
If you feel out of balance or restless or maybe just a little off but you can't figure out why,
You might be neglecting one part or giving too much attention to another.
In uncertain times,
It is vital that you work on recognizing and nurturing all aspects of yourself.
So today,
Let's spend some time setting intentions for each amazing and important part of your whole.
I will introduce five different aspects of yourself and we will set intentions for each.
When I get to each statement of intention,
I will pause so that you can repeat after me either out loud or silently to yourself.
Before we start,
Settle into a comfortable position.
I recommend sitting up tall with your hands open and palms facing up,
Resting gently on your legs or in your lap.
Of course,
Whatever you find most comfortable is just perfect.
Let's start by taking a few deep breaths to connect with your body,
To let go of any distractions,
And to get focused on this important act of self-care.
Let's begin.
First,
I want you to think about your physical self,
The body that people see when they meet you,
The container that holds all of your vital organs,
The package that allows you to run and dance and play.
Let's set intentions for your physical self.
Today,
I will take care of my body.
I will exercise,
Eat well,
And prioritize my health.
I will honor the vessel that carries me through life because it is the only one that I get.
Now,
I want you to think about your emotional self,
The personality that makes you unique,
The beliefs and values and passions that rule your mind and your heart.
Think about the range of emotions we have as part of the human experience,
From paralyzing grief to immense joy and everything in between.
Let's set intentions for your emotional self.
Today,
I will honor all of my emotions.
I will remember that all emotions are temporary.
I will accept the lows and appreciate the highs.
I will try to focus on thoughts that support feelings of joy and peace.
Next,
Consider your intellectual self,
The problem solver,
The creator,
And the perpetual student.
Your intellectual self needs stimulation or you will stagnate.
So let's set intentions for your intellectual self.
Today I will challenge myself to think in new and different ways.
I will not give up easily.
I will seek out ways to stretch my mind.
Today I will learn something new.
Now,
Think about your spiritual self.
Spirituality takes on many different forms,
But regardless of your belief system,
Spirituality is the ability to connect to something greater than yourself,
Whether that be a higher power,
The universal consciousness,
Or the natural world.
So let's set intentions for your spiritual self.
Today,
I will take the time to connect to something greater than myself.
I will pray,
Meditate,
Volunteer,
Journal,
Spend time in nature,
Plant a tree,
Pet an animal,
Or lose myself in music.
I will honor that in me,
Which mirrors what I observe in others and the world around me.
Finally,
I want you to consider your relational self,
The part of you that craves connection to others and feels energized by those connections.
I want you to picture what intimacy means to you and how you can take steps to achieve it.
Let's set some final intentions for your relational self.
Today I will reach out to loved ones.
I will seek connection and I will focus on the positive when those connections are made.
I will be more mindful and present because true connection is only possible in the moment.
I will try to respond to every situation from a place of love.
I'm going to give you a few moments of silence to reflect on all of the intentions that came up today.
Which ones are sitting on your heart right now?
What intentions need the most attention?
Repeat those pressing intentions to yourself and maybe even write them down before you continue with your day.
You are a beautiful,
Multifaceted person.
You are made up of the physical,
Emotional,
Intellectual,
Spiritual,
And relational.
Spend some time today focusing on each aspect of yourself so that you can continue to grow into a life of fulfillment and balance.
For the next few breaths,
Begin to return to your immediate surroundings.
Simply open your eyes if they have been closed.
Place both hands over your heart and take a breath of gratitude,
Thanking yourself for taking the time to pause and to honor all of you.
